There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

One of my favorite and memorable moments in Halo 2 was the underwater elevators on the temple level who's name escapes me.

Just thought you all should know.

Arrogant hyperbolic exclamations of woe? Seems like a normal day for Halo/Bungie.net.

I really liked them for no apparent reason.

Most epic thing in a Halo game. I was sad when a giant fish didn't eat the elevator leaving us to fight our way out. :(

Imagine a triangle. It's perfect, but a little plain. You take a chisel, and carve a small decorative symbol into it to make it a little more interesting. People like it, but it could use a little more.

So you then take a sledgehammer..

Agreed!

Halo 2 for Life!

i do recall it so it is memorible but beyond the visual it was pretty empty in terms of helping or not helping, we did have some water in the gameplay in that level but it was like foot high

R.I.P. Halo 2

Loved 'em.

My engineering and construction background got in the way of enjoying the underwater elevators, at first. What was the purpose, they've got flying machines to go from one place to another and they could have made the elevator go straight to Regret's tower. However, after seeing how easy it was to get out and explore those underwater areas I loved them, even if they did not make sense.

This is a Reach account that I created the day they announced his name in a bnet weekly update. Any stats regarding ODST or Halo 3 are irrelevant. Also, Halo CE master race. Halo 1 > other halo games > other games.

Account Status: Silver :(

Nope not at all. Then again the campaign in Halo 2 made me mad.

It was a truly mind boggling experience back then, and still is to me. The idea of a functional submerged lift that toured the great underwater scenery made me halt, and think. That moment, that vivid moment, I remember comparing it to other "cool things" in video games. Normally, a "wow that's sick" would be a common statement.

I was silent as shadows.

Yes i loved it :3

I remember the first time i went on that ride.......and then the underwater glass tunnels, i remember be astounded by the iridescent patterns of the water ripples all over those stone forerunner sculptures with the inset metal plates. Its was the FUTURE. The attention to detail really got to me.

Honorable Member Yay!

I loved it.

Most games just go

"Look at the cool elevator"

*walk up to it*

*Loading Screen*

*Teleport to other side*

FFFFFFUUUUUUUU-

That's the first lift in coop. Here's the second lift, it is easier and can be done in SP:

Just jamb 2 boxes in the lift, then activate it and you will spawn outside. Then hesitate as the lift starts down, then just walk forward. After the lift is gone you can just drop down.

There's a lot of exploration out there, I highly recommend trying it.

I loved it. I also loved falling through those things (Pistons?) in the level Sacred Icon.

Also, it was a lot of fun riding the Gondolas in Regret. It's little things like these that made Halo 2 my favorite campaign out of the whole series (although I love Halo: Combat Evolved about as much, too).

I liked the Gondolas more because they were more open and you fought on them.

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

Yes.

Those were cool. :D
