We were somewhere around Barstow...

Not surprised. From what I've read, and from what I've seen myself, Reach takes a huge steaming toxic dump over all canon thus far.

You guys are not going to get an answer.

Ever since the game came out, I gave them hell over the inconsistencies at their forums, and not even the administrators dared to reply, who btw were pretty active posters early on in the forum's induction.

They even had a question thread to do for podcasts, which they conveniently stopped doing for some reason, and you bet I sent them questions about lore.

SO no, don't expect an answer for a while, until probably the new Halo books and games come out, which is post-E3.

You mean there are MORE Halo books coming out?

I've already bought two separate editions of The Fall of Reach this year.

Halo without Bungie is like a cookie made without love.

I see no way Halo Reach and The fall conflict.

My next question is...have you read the book?

Suck it Red!

I'm a little confused? The book "The Fall of Reach" was re-released but with the word definitive after the title and thats the whole change?

The 2010 Definitive Edition print of First Strike seems to be done to be compatible with both the game and The Fall of Reach.

The 2011 Definitive Edition of The Fall of Reach corrected the 2542 typo issue and made Hunters sound more familiar to humanity than the 2010 edition did.

All three Fall of Reach editions state that FLEETCOM HQ wasn't expecting Covenant presence as of August 30 at 04:40.

EDIT: I stipulate that 343 Industries didn't know how they were going to go about this until recently.

343 really needs to get their act together when it comes to this reissue and stamp out all the errors, typos, etc before reissuing material. Reissuing Fall of Reach twice with minor changes over each subsequent edition from the original with typos within a year is extremely sloppy work. A third time would just be incredibly stupid if it comes to that.

Bungie Pentathlon - who actually cares ?

Can we all just agree that the canon for Reach, whether it be the books, games etc is a little messed up ?

Not much we can do about it until we read "The Fall of Reach, Super Authentic Version"
