Subject: Why the hate for Halo 4?

Not more than 2 hours after it's revealed, and so much hate already...

I think it looks epic!

Being alone.
You're a mod, you should be used to that.

Where jet pack came from? While Chief was in cryo?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

if you look closely that thing came out of his suit, so why after 2 games did he finally USE IT. thats the hate and the fact that they are gona make 3 more halo games to milk/drag the series

Everyone here is seriously retarded. Clearly in the books they were mentioned, they are thrusters NOT JETPACKS, how ignorant can you be? How many times have you seen the chief fight in zero gravity where he actually needed it? Halo 2 was the only one and you had light gravity there on the mac gun, this is the first Zero gravity the chief has been seen in other than the halo 2 cutscene where he returns the bomb to the covie ship, and even there was gravity there! He was just falling towards earth, no need for a thruster, so this IS part of his suit.

Whats the problem? The jet pack thing? Ever think maybe those are merely thrusters in his Mark VI for EVA activities? So far no canon is broken. So stop complaining about how Halo 4 is going to break canon like Reach did.

Besides Reach did not break canon that much, anything broken can easily be retconned.

Where jet pack came from? While Chief was in cryo?

Could be a minor function we have not seen before.

If you watch it frame by frame you can see his shoulder pads and knee pads are quite different as well...explain that
higher poly models such as present in cgi allow for better looking pieces of armor, if i were to take a halo CE shoulder pad, remake it in cgi with the fidelity of the new 4 trailer, they would look different, not to mention the possibility that several armor variations can be carried on a ship, in halo canon spartans were known to change their armor constantly to fit the mission, he may very easily have changed armor to suit space after what we see in halo 3.

Also, Gamer Whale, There are currently three people working in 343i that previously worked for Bungie. Frankie, Shishka and Vic DeLeon. That's pretty much it.

So lol @ the "lots of former bungie employees"

Still waiting for the source for "suit had jetpack all the time". Halopedia doesn't mention it. (Not sure which one)

EDIT: Checked both Halo wikis. No mention about "jet pack" on mk V and VI.

That's not a jetpack you idiot.

I think Cortana is going to go rampant and bat-blam!- crazy and Master Chief is going to have to kill her. Sad...

agreed. honestly if you were to design a fully capable battle armor suited for space function... would you leave the wearer without a way to orient himself? no, they are directional thrusters.

i'd also like to mention that 343 made an effort to show how advanced this armor is, past what we've seen in previous games, i've never once seen chief kick open a door or use his magnetic boots until this cutscene.
