Interview with Frank.
Apparently it's built on the old engine in terms of gameplay mechnanics, new engine for graphics (meaning they spliced the code obviously).

It's not going to be full priced.

There will be both classic mode, and anniversary mode.

Multiplayer is Halo Reach and will work within the same community from what I understand. Not sure if it'll include the Halo Reach multiplayer? So from what I get, this is like the ODST disc 2. Classic playlists will be present.

Adapt or Die

I'm kind of disappointed about the multiplayer, but the campaign is going to be amazing.

no your close, he said exactly its halo multiplayer on the halo reach [engine]. meaning its CE multiplayer all of its own but just in reach engine style.

meaning its basically gonna be you sort of playing Reach but without AA's. no DMR's. the best pistol ever. still keep sprint. and your going back to the loving classics.

That's what I understood as well. It wasn't very clear, but it seemed like the "xbox live multiplayer" they announced was simply placing the 7 maps they are making into Reach, probably in a separate hopper. I sure hope I'm wrong because the only reason I would want this is to be able to play classic Halo CE multiplayer over xbox live. I don't want to play Halo CE maps in Reach. We can already do that (watered down) with the Classic playlist.

I hope you're right Mizioki, but it didn't seem that way to me. He was not very clear at all though, so I could have misunderstood this. They need to clarify this immediately.

I'm positive these guys wont make a mistake to make it a seperate disk. especually since its not a full price game. I know its just gonna be a simple CE:A disk. but just as awesome as reach. its highly possible since the harddrive space from CE compared to Reach is majorly different so im sure they're is no need for second disk.

^ well they specifically mentioned not wanting to split the community so my interpretation is that it works with the traditional reach mp

It's probably better this way because this would allow things such as saved films and forge to be accessed. If the remastered maps were put on the Halo CE disc, then chances are we wouldn't have all the new features we have on reach, which would limit gameplay.

I like the idea of the new features, and think it would be cool if they could add that to Halo CE...but I would gladly sacrifice all of the new features in order to be able to play Halo CE on Xbox Live. I don't want to play Reach on Halo CE maps. I just want to play Halo CE on Xbox Live.

maybe it'll be like Konami's transfarring lol so we can transfer reach data into CE:A and vice versa? XD
