Subject: Halo 4 will not be a nuke like the other games.

What I mean is, When the first Halo dropped, it was alright, It made a lot of good waves in the gaming world.

Halo 2 was explosive. Shut down other game's releases like they were nothing. Halo 3 did the same thing. So did Reach to an extent, but will Halo 4 have the same effect? I don't think so. We've seen just about everything the game has, and probably could offer. 343 has two choices, Stay just like Halo 1 to 3, or make a change like Reach and we all know how people respond to change.

It's a nearly impossible road to take, the series is old, it's no longer fresh. Only thing they really can do is up the graphics and attempt to make the series fresh again.

Oh and did anyone see the date? Holiday 2012? This makes me believe this game will be released with the "Xbox 720" to boost sales. Just like what they did with Halo 3.

that is a complete opinion that i don't agree with.

The game has been in the works since before halo 3 was done, so i think another 2 years is good

I'm not really an Apple person (Bananas forever) but damn, that's kinda sad.

Hopefully it doesn't freaking suck

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Well that goes with every game that people anticipate.

I don't think the "Xbox 720" will be out by then...

I feel the 360 still has life left

Think before you post

Can I see a source on that? I'd like to believe you, but if there's an article about it, I'd like to read it.

Halo 4 might not sell as well as the other games 'initially' due to the damage bungie created with the abomination of Halo Reach... a great example of how the might bungie has fallen.

Halo 1 and 2 were simply masterpieces. I felt Halo 3 started to show the signs that Bungie had reached its height, still it had waaaay better multiplayer than Reach.

Of course as we have learned, most of the lead developers in Halo 1 and 2 are part of 343, and that just gives me great confidence that Halo 4 could be a real success, the trailer certainly confirms it. I simply cannot wait, Thank you bungie for giving up on the series and not producing any future games like Reach.

Haha I know what you mean. But I say the more time between consoles the better; it just means that the longer we wait, the more amazing and groundbreaking the next generation of consoles will be! Plus the longer the lifespans of the consoles reaffirms the validity of our initial investments [on our machines] in the first place. /rant

I'm gonna have to disagree with you. The PS3 is on it's own level right now. It surpassed all of this gens consoles by going to blu ray. All they would be doing, is making the switch. Blu ray is the next generation of gaming. Microsoft needs to catch up.

Won't see a new console until 2015.

I didn't want a Halo 4, but after seeing that trailer, OMG so much excitement! I need to watch it again.

How do you know that? Microsoft has most likely been tinkering with a new console since xbox 360 dropped.

I suppose. I don't have a PS3 and I haven't felt the urge to get one. It would be nice to have a Blu Ray player, but it's the software that ultimately wins me over. I like the XBL service too. If I were a more active gamer I would probably have bought a PS3 though (as well as my 360).

Trust me, I felt no urge to grab a ps3 either but I actually ended up getting on a few months ago and I really don't regret it.

The problem with xbox and it's services is they are to tight. They turn down partnerships left and right and they really limit what their services can really do. PS3 has steam access now. Steam is probably the best thing that has ever happened to PC gaming yet because xbox is difficult to work with there's a lot of missed chances. Xbox limits how much a developer can update, it limits a lot of things.

Sony Partnering with Steam is honestly a good step with gaming.

Also with the hardware, On PS3 they allow you to access and play MMOs of the systems. They also have an MMO shooter. This is something xbox will probably never be able to do unless they upgrade.

Do you mean just Xbox? Because it's confirmed that Nintendo is coming out with the successor to the Wii in 2012.

We're the Flintstones kids, ten million strong and growing...

Glass Galaxies - a theme for bungie.net

Per audacia ad astra. Halo Reach | Destiny

The trailer doesn't fill me with a lot of hope, I won't lie. Although it had (and stil has) me hyped, just seeing stuff like the Chief's armour design, the Legends-ish high-action animations, THE JETPACK, and even the logo, my expectations aren't too high for Halo 4 right now.

and how well has that gone?

hackers practicly took over the ps3 servers for a day.
I would rather keep my money safe then buy an overpriced grill, witch has a upgraded version of hd(why doy we need?) and a bit better hardware.

we play games for the games, not the stuff that gets them going.
if i had a old pc witch could only play the greatest game ever, but it was a bit buggy and slow, then the best game ever would still be,the best game ever compared to the worst game ever played on the best pc ever.

You are not getting the big picture. You really aren't. Xbox's hardware is VERY limited. Why turn down a chance for games to be bigger and better. That makes no sense. At all my friend. Why did you even buy a 360? Why didn't you continue playing the regular xbox?

Better hardware= more freedom to make better games.

I agree with you and I'm putting the armour design down to CGI. I'm reserving complete judgement until I see what Halo 4 will actually look like.
