Just about everyone will be back in school by th 12th. I doubt there'll be much of a problem after that.
(good idea though)
P.S: First post in The Septagon in a long long time =- P
Except for of course, the month before Nov 9th, and the months after.Spam, flames, and spoilers will once again fill New Mombasa
Let alone for the conclusion of ILB, or the release of more info, or a trailer. Unless it is fixed, it can only get worse, no matter when school is on.
Now back to our regularly scheduled posting
NMST, I like it. Well putting aside any arguing, shouldn’t we have any rules for membership? If this turns out to be any kind of success we’ll have people who claim to be in the group going around, flaming and spamming. If we set up a chapter based society, it would be easier to control members, and keep a record of who has joined.
We also have to set up a list of rules, and make sure everyone understands exactly what type of organization we are. I’d like to see it being fairly ‘anarchic’ just because too much leadership, or hierarchal structure will lead to ineffectiveness.
I’d like to se us set up a clear response, or protocol, for as how we should spend our time in New Mombasa. The obvious ‘Mod-liness is Godliness’ approach will only work on a case by case basis, and simply shutdown the threads. I’d say we start making a couple of our own topics, and make sure to keep them informative and useful. The one thing we want to make sure of is that we don’t leave any threads made by us, open for comment so far as it would allow flaming. If we set up several good, informative, threads, and keep them there over a week, (On Front Page), all of the members who signed in for that week will see that their questions have been solved. It will limit the number of new threads that need to be made. A good thing would be to get several of the more important threads updated regularly, where the author can change the initial post to keep it relevant. This is to be a necessity, because so many people in New Mombasa won’t read any thread on pages 2-800, and will usually only read the authors opening post in the thread.
We’d need those threads to be a bastion of intellectual, thoughtful discussion. If we keep them updated regularly it will curb the amount of new threads being made.
