Man of Steel

After seeing Inception and the conclusion to the series: Life On Mars(US Remake), it seems I have lost faith in the concept of actual closure.

The new Halo trilogy may be a work in progress for the next decade, but I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that this story arc will conclude with Master Chief saving the universe in some glorious manner only to find himself awakened moments after(by a UNSC rescue team?) realizing his armor resembles that of the one in Halo 3 and that the entire event occurred in cryosleep.

Maybe this is my way of justifying our green protagonist's sudden wardrobe makeover. Maybe, deep inside, I want the Halo trilogy to rest in peace. Perhaps a culmination of both, I don't know. What I do know is that series that I had once thought had come to its abstruse end has risen from its ashes like a phoenix.

Here we go again

Did it make you want to punch a baby, too?

Haha

That coupled with other immoral deeds, my friend.

Amen brother.

People seem to forget that there are three parts to a good story, a begining, middles and end, and that they are all equally important.

I was perfectly happy with how the chief's story ended. Continuing it on afterwards removes all the emotional impact of Halo 3's ending.

The trailer for Halo 4 just doesn't even LOOK good....like, surprise! Chief had a jetpack the whole time! Really? How is Bungie staying sane while someone else destroys their franchise?

I like to play Devil's Advocate

Someone should make a new thread...

"Times Master Chief could have used the jetpack he's had this whole time during Halo 2&3"

I am kind of excited for the new 343 Halo. Not as excited as when Bungie announced Halo 3 and I pre-ordered it a year in advance. But it has its chances like any other game. Trailers mean nothing. The ODST CGI trailer was AWESOME!!! The game...meh.
I'll wait til I see some more details.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

If you want closure watch Toy Story 3.

Don't get me wrong. I believe this title has great potential. Maybe that's part of the problem for me.

See Halo 3 was the sole reason I got the 360. Ever since then I've picked up other games here and there(Call of Duty, Gears Of War, Grand Theft Auto IV...), but the Halo story has caught my interest since I was 10 (I think). I have the urge to play every halo game just to know the fate of Master Chief. Now that I'm heading off to college I kind of wanted to put the whole video game thing aside, but now their talking about another trilogy!

Maybe if it was one more game I would be fine, but we're talking about another 9 - 10 years(if they don't decide to go the Activision/Call Of Duty route with one game per year).

So I guess I'm being selfish haha
