Subject: Halo 4 Enemy theory plus flood origin (so simple just open your eyes)

WHATS UP EVERYBODY

Actually it does describe the flood very well, it Cryptum it states the flood are a biological infestive powder used as a biological weapon against the forerunners in the Forerunner-Precurssor war. but the Precursors where unable to use the powder in the war. then humans started using the powder described in the above post.
you sir Johnthethird are an ignorant fool

Dear god.

You must be a troll or at least mentally retarded.

Learn to read. His explanation is in block-form, and could use some grammar fixes, but The Flood being a Lovecraftian horror is a pretty damn cool idea.

The Gravemind is Cthulu-y enough already...I'm surprised that no-one else has brought this up.
Well gravemind is deffinately not cthulhu, and the lovecraftian god I listed is actually a rival of cthulhu, but thanks for being on my side.

The PRecursers did not create the flood they just transported some spores to the forrunners. Who do you think created the flood? here is who

I didn't say he was, I said he was Cthulu-y, as in being similar to Cthulu in ways. As in tenticles. And horror.

I'm not that familiar with Lovecraft, but I'm familiar enough to wonder why nobody else jumped at this conclusion.

Being a bioweapon is one of the most cliched explanations in Sci-Fi.

An unused Bioweapon becoming a Petsmart product that goes horribly wrong isn't any better.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

no.

that's all that needs to be said.

Lets Boogie

Didn't the flood come from another galaxy? I don't think any species created them, perhaps they were modified from their basic form into the monsters we see in the halo games.

dude the flood are lovecraftian it makes great sence. the precursers were kinsmen of cthulhu and captured some of the flood spawns and introduced them to the forrunners

Cryptum has made most of the people on this forum think that the Flood came from special powder that the Prophets rubbed on animals to make them docile.

Yeah. It's bad.

no we dont't think that, we KNOW that. it is basically what was said happened. it wasn't an idea of what might have happened, it IS what happened.

The Flood was found as powder inside tubes from an ancient space ship. The powder was just some organic molecules, nothing poiting it would be dangerous. This means the Flood are either from another galaxy or just very old. Their origin however, is unknown. It wouldn't be very useful to create a biological weapon that wants to consume all life in the galaxy. Unless in case you happen to be a mad scientist.

no dude that "powder" was actually a bunch of flood spores who were created by the Lovecraftian Diety Shub-Niggurath. They are simply the spores of her thousand young. Sorry to burst your bubble

They were meant to fight off the Elder Gods. They were created By Shub-Niggurath. The Precursors who were the kinsmen of Cthulhu captured the flood in their spore form. They used them to punish the forerunners it is quite simple.

shub-niggurath isn't even related to halo.

try reading the full theory. My theory is legit, and even with Greg Bear it fits in.

More Proof

no. It is The Precursers, and Snub

No, that's what Greg Bear said happened. I disagree for good storytelling's sake.

I think johnthethird and Techno Geek should just go make out somewhere and share their idea for the already-explained flood creation while the rest of us just stick to the amazing story Greg Bear(Probably the most accomplished sci-fi writer in history who deserves more respect from these two) has provided us. Thanks.
