Im very glad 343 have taken the decision not to gut Reaches multiplayer this soon after launch, otherwise we would end up with a situation like the COD kids have where the next game is pooped out 2 months after they bought the final map pack for the previous instalment.

And seriously people, think about what you are demanding here. A desecrated version of the originals multiplayer experience. Have any of you EVER even tried to play haloCE through xbox connect or anything like that? Thats what it would be like.

Frankie and friends, i know you read threads and stuff, you made the right decision, and bringing some classic maps to the Reach experience was a good way to try and sate those longing for the old days multi-wise. Good job.

actually it would be nothing like that... and heres why... they would add netcode to the game. the reason halo 1 was so laggy on connect was because it wasnt made for online play. add a netcode and it will play just like any other game on live. and as for the cod thing they released cod 1 on xbla and it had nothing to do with the new games. it was just there for the fans, just they way halo CE should be done right now.

The only problem with that is if the netcode required the dumbing down of the MP (ie making the pistol easy to use)

Even with netcode it would still be impossible to play unless you are host as Halo CE has very small hitboxes, low amount of bullet magnetism and aim assist and it was non-hitscan. I would mainly had wanted online multiplayer because I would just have wanted to play with my friends. I don't actually care about matchmaking.

I'm no expert by any means, but I imagined hitscan with low auto aim and no bullet magnetism.

I don't see how that wouldn't work for both; Keeping the skill in aiming and a quality online experience.

Never Die Alone, Always Die With A Friend :D

Well, If You're a first person shooter fan like i am, I prefer the True Aim System. Shoot at Point A bullet will Travel to Point A. Miniscule Aim Assist, No Bullet Magnetism, because that ruins True Aim and allows lesser players to hit a target they normally cannot. Sure it would lower quality of the online experience for those who don't seek challenge and thrill of perfecting aim.
Halo CE for xbox was LAN anyways if I remember correctly, So Online Would give players who didnt play PC a new-ish thrill.
Either Way Is Good Really, but Id like to see CE with Multi.
Unfortunately, Code and Lag Latency and Everything included in multiplayer would completely change the game play for CE, so I believe they wont give it XBL capabilities...
