By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Frankie has debunked this "leaked" info on HBO, citing it to be - in his words - "bullshirt".

Awesome isn’t just a word. Awesome is a way of life. Awesome is a way of war. Teamwork matters the most. Lone Wolves jeopardize the missions. Teamwork is key. Resistance is futile. The covenant fear us, not the other way around. We don’t fight for Earth. We don’t fight for Reach. We fight for the good of mankind because we are A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Sounds to much like COD, custom weapons.

"The strength of the pack is the wolf, the strength of the wolf is the pack."

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me..."

ODST for life

I have a hard time seeing the planet as being non-hostile if there is supposedly a new threat to the entire universe contained on it somewhere but I'm not sure if that's what you're implying or not.

ONI wouldn't necessarily go "public" about the planet but you would think that Cortana or other highly informed military heads would be aware of it' existence and possible use in the defenses, or retreat, of Earth. My rational is simply that an entire Forerunner planet under UNSC/ONI control or even mere knowledge of its' existence would be an extremely important thing to know while all of this other stuff was going down. Somewhere along the line, someone had to think that it could have been of use in some way, shape or form.

I understand life isn't "black and white" but in all honesty...when your entire species is being threatened, life does become black and white. You either find a way to survive or you're wiped from existence. Sounds simple enough to me. It boils down to the most basic instincts of any living thing. So unless ONI is being directed by something that isn't human...well, that's another theory for another time.

If ONI had deployed a substantially sized force to the planet, even if they assumed (which they wouldn't) they were killed or wiped out completely, they wouldn't just simply forget about them or leave the remnants abandoned. Would any military force ever just assume something like that without a follow-up of any sort? Unlikely. Even if they knew what happened they wouldn't just list them as KIA and then forget about them. If ONI is really as bad, sneaky and dirty as everyone is making them out to be, then they wouldn't leave any risk of having loose ends.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Sounds pretty believable to me. I'm really curious to see how this will turn out.

Hmmm, I don't know what to say...

Onyx was destroyed.. but he still can reunite with them, there's much we don't know. The tech is so complex, and we don't even know exactly what happened to them after they got stuck.

343i helped with Halo Legends right? Because this info fits wit some of the story in there.

oh noes, i would hate customization! i liek the feeling that you are picking up anything you can find and using it until its out of ammo, then switching it for something else. it just gives the game a more fast paced, streamlined feel. any kind of in game weapon customization, will ruin part of halo for me...

Sincerely, the voice inside your head for whenever you read things.

Customizable vehicles?! Hell yes!

The fact that this story sounds SO believable blows my mind b/c Frankie says it's bull-blam!-. Then again this only confirms my idea that they love to deny the truth to keep players anticipated and talking. They are trying to keep us interested. Im too lazy to go back and read who's name it was but one of you posted that at least SOMEONE like cortana or a higher up would know of ONIs operations in this so called "Sigma 7" (which sounds SO familiar from the past...maybe from the first haly)but what you don't realize is that Master Chief is.. well.. a Master Chief, he may be the highest enlisted rank but he's no officer and only the officers were secretly drafted if you look closely into the storyline. This may explain why master chief doesn't know a lot of what others know. This kinda makes me think that ONI HAS in fact been watching MC all of this time xD

If you can't beat em, mine em.

Wrong. The entire milky way would be wiped out if all the halo rings fired. "the Halo rings would wipe out all sentient life within three radii of the Milky Way's Galactic center"

Unless they disinvowed any knowledge of the mission to this installation. Perhaps it was a Black Op?

Yes I'm fairly young. No, that doesn't mean I'm automatically dumber than you or have less life experience, thats just generally the case. I am not your general case.

If this is real, I want to seriously thank you. Larger, outrageously epic battles are welcome (Tip of The Spear anyone?) and Crysis 2 styled weapon customization is a good change of pace. Also, player choice seems to be more influential (RPG elements anyone?). It seems 343i are being serious about mixing it up.

However, if it is not real, I will disregard you as a human being.

If it is something I learn you came up with in your head, then I will personally hunt you down to the ends of the earth and beyond, all the way to Sigma 7 and blow your heretical head off with that explosive device we saw in the trailer.

I hope its Crysis 1 style weapons customization. The second was kinda weak compared to the first. Of corse, so was everything else. Its was all so mainstream and toned down.
*Sad face*

Anyways, I'm rambling. If this is true, can I give the OP a hug?

Proud director of Black Plasma Studios. Check us out on Youtube!

All I have to say is sweet.

Bigger battlefields: YES.

More weapons: YES!

Better Story: WOW!

I hope they also include a lot of good vehicles, but I am going to be very sad if (and probably) the Covenant are not in it at all.

  • 06.10.2011 7:13 PM PDT

True or not, the inclusion of factioned UNSC is pretty bad.

  • 06.10.2011 7:29 PM PDT

You would know that.

At the heart of Halo 4 is a stronger focus than ever before behind story telling and player choice. Players will be offered an unprecedented level of customization and a narrative experience never before seen in a first person shooter. On a technical level Halo 4 pushes the boundaries of the action genre by incorporating larger battlefields than ever before and players will experience conflicts that seamlessly span land, sea and space.

Does this mean we'll get to have campaign player customization?

A simple google search finds your "source" straight away.
But discussing leaks is against the rules, so you might want to be careful.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I think the 'on the fly' weapon mechanics seem reasonable, at the end of the trailer you see the Chief add something to the front of his pistol, which is probably hinting at this.
