"Shall we let the Flood consume our holy city? Turn High Charity into another of their wretched hives? No enemy has ever withstood our might. The Flood, too, shall fail."

-Prophet of Truth.

Onyx was destroyed, and turned into a Micro Dyson Sphere, which in turn was guarded by trillions of sentinels.

Sentinels did not form to make a planet.

If you think you're the best fluffy, gun shootin', Brute pwning guy around, you are sadly mistaken... Fear the dreaded "mew"!

Actually, it WAS made up of sentinels.

Did you even read the book?

Hey, I was right. Stop informing us a bunch of lies, or at least know your stuff if you're gonna be a know-it-all.

Read this on 377 and 388, "...the view pulled back and showed this drone-constructed scaffolding stretched over kilometers... they had been under every landmass, every ocean... under the entire surface ... The drones were the planet Onyx. "

I hate noobs, and I currently want to punch you in the face.

"It is done. By my hands. The pyrrhic solution is ignited. All I have left is the quiet of space to lull me to sleep.
I will dream of you." - The Didact

Read "Structure"

and yes, reread Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. It never turned into anything except rubble. lol

Stop trying to act hard on a forum you depressed pinprick, and I don't see how Sentinels could come together to make a solid looking planet....

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

It's whatever the Legendary planet was, and that's under debate.

@ TallestSpark

Well you obviously didn't read Halo: Ghosts of Onyx. The sentinels discussed in the book are different sentinels than in the games.

They put a fake, terraformed layer on top of the sentinels, but the sentinels were the planet, with various sentinel production units and the like under their protection.

Sorry, I just hate it when people are actively telling people untrue things.

Yes, thank you! These sentinels were compared to "tinker toys" by Catherine Halsey because of their ability to conjoin.

You're my best friend, Ghost Ryder... Let us combat the noobs.

...you would need alot!

Even if the balls where the size of a house or even a town, you would still need billions if not trillions of them.

Not quite, and in the book the "monitors" spoke latin.

Actually, the first thing I thought was that it was some sort of Unyielding Hierophant style Covie ship.

The lights on it just didn't seem forerunner to me.

Now, if I'm honest, it doesn't seem forerunner at all. If I had to guess, I'd actually say precursor.

No. In the book, the onyx sentinals are decribed as having a central orb, similar to the moniters, surounded by three meter-long spars or booms.
