Bungie.net is the place to be!

Amidst the snowfall, the cold does little to diminish his wishes to be free. The eagle is chained and has no way of breaking free. No matter how much he flies, he still is chained. The blizzards do nothing to break his determination and in his eyes, he will be freed, someday...

Bad habits are like chains that are too light to feel until they are too heavy to carry

Hold on there. You say that The Flood is not a threat to the universe, but there is evidence to suggest such. The Flood can spread rapidly, and destroy entire worlds. While most of them are contained on the Halo rings, it is possible that not all of them are, like on Halo Wars, when they went to that planet where all of those Flood were, in an unseen part of the universe. Not saying that we should trust Halo Wars canon, but it shows that it is possible that not all is contained.

We don't know that much about the Precursors, so they might be an enemy in the game. Forerunners too. However, I have a strong feeling The Flood will be in it.

Yes but the forerunners killed themselves and repopulated every other species except for themselves and the flood.
And that makes me wonder how the Flood came back.Do you know?

But the Flood is not a Universalthreat and it said that the Halo 4 enemy will be a threat to the Universe.

Ya i wondered that too. It doesn't make any sense. No OTHER species survived but somehow the flood. Thats pretty retarded if you ask me.

"The measure of a man is what he does with power"-Plato

Plus it says John has to face his destiny.

It seems as though it will be a really personal story for John.

Universal threat?

If a ringworld the size of the Earth can take out a chunk of the galaxy. Then a Halo the size of a galaxy....

... we have to go bigger.

I seriously doubt that the flood will be in halo 4. By the end of halo 3 I had had enough of them and I think microsoft and 343 know that halo fans are getting tired of them

It is a universal threat if released and given a way to transport itself. Like how it landed in High Charity in Halo 2. It could spread like that.

Sequel escalation. It'd have a bigger range. Therefore, a bigger threat.
Of course, you wouldn't be able to see the other side, so the effect would be ruined.

Agreed.

Ever wonder what's up there?

Moar flood variants.
Flying flood or infected engineers.

  • 06.07.2011 4:08 PM PDT

I watched a video on waypoint that talked about the possibility of the flood being on the other halo rings. I just hope we see some forerunner action or something like that.

  • 06.07.2011 4:09 PM PDT

How cool would it be If Arby was 9.2ft in the new trilogy? That's how tall he is by the original Elite hieght. PLEASE, 343i make the Elites 8'6" again! PLEASE!

  • 06.07.2011 4:11 PM PDT

I can almost guarantee that halo 4 will have some completely different character that we have never heard of or maybe the elites will turn against the humans again and chief will find his way bak to the human struggle against the elites

No new games, catching up with the world, and filling it with the name of SpazDragon, the dragon with a spas-12.

I'd always predicted that there would be ground-based sentinels to pose as a threat. What's not better than fighting latin-speaking robots?
