Halo 4 enemies? Check out the concept art trailers released on IGN for Halo 4. I get the sense the enemies will probably be forerunner automatons and not covenant; probably novel enemy types coupled with the traditional sentinel drones.

It's too bad the IP left Bungie, I'm somewhat skeptical of an all 343 Halo game. :|

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Precursors or Flood. Probably going to be the last Precursor commanding the Flood.

I have a feeling it might actually be Forerunners. They allowed Humanity the control of the 'mantle' and now they want it back.
The Forunners are dead, long gone though.

This is somewhat of a disturbing thought, but what if the flood reanimated the forerunners. All that intelligence in Graveminds tentacles... We'd be screwed...

Halo
Halo 2
Halo 3
Halo Reach
Have 'em all

i think it will be the precursers

-Some guy who lost all his gamer score somehow.

As long as they don't just make the game to suck up what money is left in the community for them... because that means they only want money-not a good game and story. but i don't think thats the case since they are going to make 5 and 6.

Yoink!

I find the prospect of civil war erupting on Sanghelios quite interesting, so, perhaps the campaign is split into two, with Arby fighting rebel elites. After all, Sanghelli have just lost their only faith and are trying to rebuild from the war, add to the fact a lot would probably disagree with an alliance with humans.

Just a thought.

An Elite campaign would seem out of place for a trilogy destined around Chief and his destiny.

Indeed, one can always dream. Unless the two parts were linked in some way.

Gold Team+ODST+Sand Pirates= Fun

At this point, we cant really rule out anything guys. But in my best guess, Id say its definantely not Forerunner. They are long extinct, no way it could be them. The most logical guess would be the Flood again, or an introduced enemy. As we know, the Flood have captured and taken control of multiple Shield Worlds, such as the one in Halo Wars campaign mode, and the planet like orb in the Halo 4 teaser has an uncanny resemblence to previous Shield Worlds. Althouhg this is most logical, sometimes logic must be sacrificed to make a fun game to play, and if the Flood were t main enemy yet again, it would be extremely tedious and unlikely. I think a new enemy will be introduced, something old. Or maybe, the sentinels. After the rampancy of Mendicant Bias and Guilty Spark, there were no more Forerunner AI ato keep order in the sentinel ranks, so it is likely that they could be an enemy while they are on the loose, but again, that would be terrible for playibillty. Thoughts?

I stopped reading when I saw this, you're wrong, the Forerunners live.

The Forerunner died as an entire race when the Librarian activated the Halo Array, sure, maybe some surviviors in a Shield World, or out of the Milky Way, but definantley not enough for any kind of civilization. And you cant make a claim without evidence to support it, lets hear it. @ Decipticon Cobra

Very logically likely, but probly not going to happen. After the destruction of Charum Hakkor, the last Precursor is thought to have gone into hiding, most likely as a stow away on Mendicant Bias' Ring. Very likely, and it would add a great plot twist to campaign to bring in some more canon. @ Ktan Dantaktee

The Halo Encyclopedia states the Forerunners left the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. That and Mendicant Bias said he would be using John as atonement for his sins against the Forerunners to show he changed. Who else would Bias send Chief to?

I win.

I see, does make sense. All in all, it wouldnt make very much sense to have Forerunner enemies in the first place. But who knows. Does it say in the encyclopedia the current location of Mendicant Bias, or is it unknown? Im just curious. @ Deception Cobra.

  • 09.24.2011 8:43 AM PDT

You guys are all dumb. Master Chief died in halo 2

EDIT: It has come to my attention that master chief actually died in halo:ODST which is why you play as Arbiter, who is disguised as an ODST soilder. Therefore I think the enemy in halo 4 will be the same ones in ODST who want to avenge their dead brothers (due to Arbiter killing them)

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

Halo Wars, flood were kept on the shield world. So if the flood were kept on the shield world, that means they could have kept it on more shield worlds.
Posted by: GhostRyderCA941
The current gravemind was destroyed with the Ark. So the Flood has now lost its cohesion. Why would the Forerunners store Flood on the Shield Installations like they did on the Halo array? I can understand studying the Flood on the Halos because the Halos are weapons. The shield installations were meant to protect you from the flood and the halo effects.

Sooo.... I believe that IF the Flood do show up in Halo 4, it'd make sense that they arrived there after the events of Halo 1-3, and not have been there all along.

The Flood landed on the Halo Wars Shield World during the Forerunner-Flood War, ever notice the wreckage on the ground in the cutscenes? Seriously, why would the Forerunners put the equivalent of a bomb in a bomb shelter?

Yeah... I doubt the forerunners crashed their own ships on the shield world.
