Hopefully they'll play a part in the story some how...My main worry is that I won't be able to be one in multiplayer anymore.

question everything...truth has no pedigree

They could play a part. Without the Prophets to blind them with fairy tales, the Elites may see the reality of the Flood's threat and take it upon themselves to help defend the galaxy from the true scourge.

I doubt they'd send a even one ship to do that, they have, what, half a fleet left, and don't know how to build new ones, are currently fighting brutes, loosing i might add, and are going into a primative state due to lack of technology.

I love how this proves Elites aren't as smart as humans, and how they exist only because they have forerunner tech.

Wow, just wow!

I want Arbiter back. Ever since Halo 2 he's been my favorite character. Besides Johnson.

This saddens me... A full-on Halo game without Johnson or the Arbiter? I demand a tie-in! I'm gonna go troll 343 forums now.

This wouldn't make sense. Other Covenant species seceded with the Elites, and I would bet the Elites had a few Engineers on their ships. Engineers know how to build just about anything.

He has exaggerated a little bit, but the key idea is there. The Elites are regressing technologically. Read the Halo Evolutions story about the Sangheili Shipmaster to find out all the details. Basically, the Prophets were the only ones with the knowledge to turn Forerunner artefacts into useful technology and manufacture most of the Covenant's technology. The Elites do not know how to do this, they have no scientific establishment, no solid leadership and no moral/ethical guidelines to follow. They cannot repair their ships and gear either because they lack the technical knowledge required. They are, however, not losing the civil war, it is a stalemate. We do not know how many ships they have left, but the vibe is not a lot.

Exactly. Also, the guy who posted that doesn't seem to realize that the Elites defeated the Brutes when outnumbered 3-to-1.

Maybe it'll be like ME2 where they are being tested on by a alien species aka forerunners?

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

No. All new characters, enemies and allies and otherwise.
