New halos will be coming but not from our loved Bungie? It's just very weird. i've been playing halo for 10 years and it just seems like everything is gonna change for the bad.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

343i is a very capable company, if they weren't Bungie wouldn't have chosen them. I think they'll do a very good job with Halo, as long as they don't make one every year. Then it might not have the same love as Bungie.

Given that Halo 4 was given much more than one year to develop, I'm hopeful that 343i will continue the trend of non-annual releases. The second Halo trilogy may well be the flagship game on which the 720 is marketed, so I'm sure 343i will be very, very meticulous in developing the perfect game each time.

I'm not sure if I want them taking 5 years per game, though.

ULTIMATE FAILURE.

Add that to the fact that many, if not the majority of 343 employees are bungie staff who loved the universe too damn much to leave it. What this says to me is that only the most dedicated and loving of the staff to the halo community are in on it. Could this be a truly amazing game? Hells to the yeah.

"Question. Which Spartan is best?"
"That's a ridiculous question."
"False. Master Chief."
"Well, that's debatable. There are basically two schools of thought."
"Spartans shoot Sangheili. Spartans. Sangheili.....Battle Star Galactica."

So very true, good sir or madamn. I am supremely excited about it! I wish it were coming out sooner, but good things come to those who wait, right?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

343 were recruiting for Halo 4 in mid/late-2009, they've had a good long while and I'm confident they will deliver.

Well yes I do miss Bungie dearly for Halo but 343i was chosen by Bungie sooo I think they will do an awesome job at Halo CE and Halo 4.... hopefully...

Haha a sir it is - and I am incredibly excited about this game. The way I see it, Reach is a good game... but not a good halo game. It's not so much Bungie maliciously decided to piss off the community, more the product of rapid growth and a dilution in the number of employees who are invested heart and soul into the universe. The volunteering into 343 will have reversed this dilution, perhaps even making it a good thing. The men and women who love the Halo universe will have stayed with the franchise - meaning more sexy games for years to come, and those who are not so obsessed and fanatic have the chance to truly make their mark on the gaming world.

  • 06.08.2011 11:08 AM PDT

I would say a little saddened, but not bugged. Wish Bungie would have stayed on, but I can see how they'd want to explore different things.

ULTIMATE FAILURE.

Yeah, it is sad - and yet Bungie staying on would put Halo 4 in a possible Reach situation, which would be even worse. Not that Reach is a bad game, just that it wouldn't work for the Chief's story.

Even better :2008 (from Nathan Walpole's site)

2008-2012

4 years,others Halo FPS's were 3 years :)
