I'm 18 right now. My hobbies are drawing, outdoor stuff, building stuff, video games, and reading. I would like to become a welder, or get my CDl license to become a truck driver, and drive around country.

Should the Warthog look more like the Humvee, or this.
Because in combat situations it would get torn up in seconds.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

The Warthog is more fun than either of those.

the humvee isn't meant to be uparmoured, and it's 500 years in the future, it should look like exactly how it looks already.

It's defense is it's speed.

So making a military fighting vehicle that has its occupants completely exposed. Is a good idea?

Again, it's speed and agility are it's defense, not sheer armor that'd slow it down and make it an easier target.

No doors means it's easier to get in and out of in a combat situation as well.

They have tanks for a reason. The Warthog is for transport.

The warhog favors speed over armor and it can use multiple variants to adapt to any situation. The reason for such little armor is the fact that it allows the occupents to have a large range of motion to protect the vehicle and engage a large number of enemies. Also you have to figure that in the future their wont be a multitude of supplies to field large numbrs of troops in a short time. It takes upto 5 months to get a humvee combat ready where as a warthog rolls of the line in a day. Also if a warthog was actually to be fielded it protects the occupents great where as if you are a 7 ft 234lb man wearing 1 ton armor(SPARTAN) then u will be a little out of the seat.

It's been done before, and it looks awesome.

I would say leave it how it is but with an actual roof, doors, and armor for the gunner.

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

The Warthog is a vehicle designed for gameplay balance, not realism.

Uh, not sure what you meant, but the Jeep was mass-produced, if that's what you meant...

That's what I was meant when I was saying it should look like those vehicles. It doesn't have to be as heavy armored like them. But have armor around the occupants. So their not exposed to enemy fire.

armor would just slow the vehicle down, it is a reconnaissance and light vehicle for a reason. the halo verse actually does have it's own APC's and tanks and other uparmoured or medium and heavy vehicles, the warthog is the jeep of halo, fast, maneuverable, etc etc.

next you are gonna be suggesting that put armor on the mongoose.
