Bahahahaha, this has to be the funniest crap I have ever heard.
My favorite part is the whole "The game WILL be for Windows Vista, as in, not for Windows XP, so you have a while to get used to that and complain to me about what a jerk I am to Windows 3.1 users."
Yeah right. I myself use Windows XP X64 on a machine most people of you dream of, and I find this to be the biggest load of Crap I have ever seen. While I do know Bungie is owned my Microsoft, I find this to be a hillarious method to make quite a bit more money then most people are to spend. Of course though! Windows Vista is SO MUCH BETTER AND DIFFERENT THEN WINDOWS XP LOL1!!
No. You know, I know this is a whole marketing strategy so people will buy more Windows Vista copies (or Pirate it like I sure will, unless it turns out not to be crap) but honestly, think about this for a moment.
Xboxes are gone, yes and the new 360s are on the market, however, whats cheaper to a user? An Xbox + Halo 2 or MS Vista + Halo 2? Try the latter. Even the lowest cheapest package won't beat the former. So isn't that kind of like shooting yourself in the foot?
But don't worry kids, A crack will be out within 3 days to let you play on your Windows XP machine. Hell, I may even help with it, unless you guys are semi-intelligent and make it check with a root server (Even though people will get around that too, just as they did with UT2k4 on the master server).
Oh yes, I forgot to ask, why do you guys impose artificial restrictions on playing a game? I mean does your marketing team really think that this is the best thing to do, or is it just pressure from your parent company?
I'll tell you one thing though, if this game lets me destroy those idiotic kids who still think their little stick is better then my MX518, I would GLADLY pay for both of the software disks.

-- Edit: oh yes and to any idiots who are going to correct me and tell me to read the whole thing -- don't. I'm just saying what would do it for me.
-- Edit2: Mac users can finnaly get this game. Atleast its a possiblity, since they switched to real processors (well x86 atleast) you wouldn't have to recompile all the code. Just have fun with all the enviroment settings, and the rest. So it dosen't really seem to be that big of a deal. As for you old PPC core Mac users. Keep dreaming. You chose a simple idiots machine over something that takes a bit of education and experience to use, and you will feel the negative effects from it.
Look on the bright side though, for a modest investment of a few thousand dollars you can get a nice shiny computer from your lovely Apple company, and play games.
Or you could build your own and be a real computer user.
