look i dont want to be a nub just make the game right, We all loved aspects of halo1 pc so try to blend those back in, can imagine it will be hard to duel wield with mouse. If you could also include the halo 1 maps as well, i wouldnt mind paying a little bit more for all that.. Halo2 xbox was terrible compared to 1 so lets get this right please.!!

The xbox version of Halo 2 has auto aim. Will this version for PC have it or will it be like Halo Combat Evolved without it?

Oh yea, I forgot to add that I like the new picture with the article.

I just read about two guys talking about "Spilled the beans". Read the Bungie Soapbox, you'll find it enlightening.

the above statement are just my toughts and plan of action.

I WILL NOT i repeat WILL not force myself to buy a new OS or a new pc just to play halo 2
and even then have to buy a xbox360 to play halo 3 right away when it comes out.

In the news tonight!!!!! ------- december 10 th 2006

" we finally admit that the Halo 2 marketing ploy scheme was detrimental to the fans and the company and regret the incident and working on a solution to please everybody"

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

How much consideration and planning originally went into porting Halo 2 to the PC and Vista? Were there ever any real tough decisions in it's pre-production phases?

  • 02.09.2006 4:27 PM PDT

God DAMN it.

juding by the system requirments for windows vista alone I imagine halol 2 for the PC will require the Dell XPS 600 Renegade Edition with 2 extra GB of ram to run. and even then it will only be able to run at 10FPS at 320x480.

Now, usually these announcements bring joy to the depths of my heart, but this one may have pushed things. The Halo 2 porting to the PC is a very exciting annoucement indeed, and while Frankie's writing style provided the perfect atmosphere for the announcement, the baffling change to blatant marketing jargon in the Q&A was disconcerting, and irritating when it came to speaking of Windows Vista itself. I am well aware that Bungie is under the reign of Microsoft and has a duty to support their products, but this:

Windows Vista will make it safer and easier to complete everyday tasks, instantly find what you want, and easily explore new possibilities in entertainment, including photos, music, games and movies, and connect with your community at home or on the go. In addition, the overall look and feel of Windows will be enhanced through the new "Aero" user interface.
* It seamlessly connects you to information, people, and devices you care most about, to help you get the most out of life and explore new possibilities.
* It enables a new level of confidence in the security and reliability of your PC and in your ability to get the most out of it.
* It introduces clear ways to find, organize and use your information to focus on what matters to you, whether it's music, the Web or e-mail.

was just plain irritating. Heck, you might as well have just posted a link to Mac OSX Tiger and let it speak for itself.

So hold on..this is thier next project?
Sounds cool! But one question:How will you fire two weapons at once? Using both mouse buttons at the same time will be kinda cluncky.

Well, let's just be happy they are even doing it guys! However, something tells me they are going to have to support XP, or a number of users will be insanely pissed.

No offense to anyone but this seems like a whole lot of hype in a handbasket. Mostly due to the fact that there were very few specifics released in the Q&A session.
I am confused as to what exactly the Microsoft Games team is doing besides merely porting the game, and more importantly how near to completion is it?

Thanks for the update though, and good luck in 2007.

Lucky me!!! I'm moving in the summer, and when I do move, my grandparents are getting a new computer for our family, because they are both retiring, and they will get it whenever we want it. I saw somewhere that Windows Vista is coming out in the second-half of 2006, so I'm one happy camper!!!! ^_^
