Halo 4
Most likely to: Make stars of 343 Industries
Like sitting on an upturned box of thumb tacks for a full hour bare arsed, knowing about Microsoft's Halo 4 event ahead of the actual reveal and being unable to talk about it to anyone was a painful experience. But now it's all out there in the wild, we're relieved.

The teaser tailer came right at the end of Microsoft's media briefing and it was confirmd that Halo 4 would be the first in a brand new trilogy developed by 343 Industries. So that means not only three more outings for Master Chief and Cortana, but also three chances for the studio to prove its mettle by making the Halo IP shine.

The trailer sees Chief emerging from cryostasis after the events of Halo 3 left him adrift in the far reaches of space. Waking up suddenly and floating through the ruins of the ship he was marooned on, Master Chief arrives at the edge of the wreckage and sees a giant mothership pulling it in via tractor beam.

What it all means is anyones guess, but you could actually feel the spines of everyone in attendance tingle in unison when Master Chief appeared on screen. Bring it on 343 Industries, we believe in you.
