I think health should be incorporated, to me it's stupid to be able to survive a sniper shot, and then you are fully healed, so basically you can survive infinite sniper shots, if you get shot once, then the shields respawn to full strenght. Not dying while falling is still good.
I disagree. That's not true. Let me explain:
You actually do have health. It just never shows it and you never have to pick up health-power ups. Let's say that someone takes down your shield and shoots you a couple of times but it doesn't kill you, and you recharge your shields. If someone were to take down your shields again, you would be killed easier. However, your "health" is gradually restored within 10 to 17 seconds or so.
And I think the no-health concept is a great idea, anyways. It makes the game more fast-paced. I don't think Halo 2 PC's gameplay should not be replaced or removed in any aspect, only added upon.
why vehicle damage should be off, and grenades should detonate
I think the vehicles should be destructible, or at least it should be a game option whether to have vehicles be invulnerable or not. Dropped grenades in Halo 2's Campaign detonate just the same in Combat Evolved when in contact with an explosion.
thats an Exploit ointo the Havoc engine, and if you notice he killed the guy that was standing there, thus havok made his fall take no damage.
Not true. I'm pretty sure he would have made it safely on the ground with no damage even if he didn't kill that guy. It's simply a bug, an exploitation of the many incredibly ridiculous glitches in Halo 2, which I hope most will be fixed when they finish porting it to PC.
So if there was no one there he would have died from the fall? And what explains his firing a rocket point blank at a wall and accelerateing upwards 200 ft to the top of the tower? It's this kind of stuff that bugs me, if its a mod OK, but if thats the way the engine works I hope they fix it to make it more realistic.
It's fine and dandy that you killed the guy at the bottom, I would expect as much if you land on someone traveling 50m/sec, but there is no way you should walk away from that.
No, he would not die from the fall. I don't know why the guy did it. I hope they fix these unrealistic bugs too.
But come on guys, it's Halo. Science-fiction. Just imagine that the Mark VI makes Spartans impervious to fall damage from long-distances.
And come on dude, you see a bunch of unrealistic things happening in Combat Evolved just as much as in Halo 2. The grenade animation, for example. Don't you think it's quite wierd how people can slide across the ground while they're throwing grenades? Or how you stand up in the passenger seat of a warthog while throwing a grenade.
Not to mention, climbing up ladders. It's quite retarded how one can climb ladders while throwing grenades/reloading/firing. Sure, you see the same thing in Halo 2, but not as many maps or levels have ladders.
You ever look at someone use a flash light in multiplayer, and the light is built into their head, yet when they melee, reload, or fire their weapon, the light seems to move from the direction of the gun? Talk about odd.
I could easily show you videos of this.
