It's not that the Library is a bad level per se, but its repetitive level design and gameplay is what makes it boring after you fight the first wave of Flood.

Until you meet that SPNKR-toting Son of a Bit--! Everytime I have played the campaign that bastard has gotten me.

I HATE that. I'm just blowing through the Flood with my shotgun, then BOOM.....I get blown up by a Flood holding a rocket launcher.

I always manage to blow his head clear off with my trusty sidekick, the M6D pistol. :P

I just jump over the rockets till i can reach them, (on heroic) then pistolwhip the hell out of them, then pick up one rocket launcher, run away, shoot the rocket, and pick up the other rockets. not that hard when you play like i do(never get rid of the pistol, because of the scope) so you can scout ahead, but most other strategies are because i run out of ammo so quick.pros and cons, pros and cons.

For the campaign in Halo 2 PC, there really shouldn't be much work on the campaign

For the multiplayer in Halo 2 PC all they need to do is that change the netcode.

Here's another suggestion.

Make your Halo 2 online screename PERMANENT. Bungie should require people set up a FREE account that will be tied to their email address. This would eliminate the noobs who make screenames like "your mom" and "your ass" just to annoy people.

Thats why you tie it to your IP.

If your IP is banned, no one who uses that computer, maybe home network, will be able to enter the server until they get another IP.

I don't think it should be permanent, but I do think that there can only be one account per person.

During this tournament I've learned that the key to winning is to make sure you get the power weapons and power-ups. And player that have success in competition often have timers on their desk so they know when a certain item is going to re-spawn and can get to the spawn at just the right time. If two players are evenly matched it often comes down to where they spawn when the game starts. The player closest to the rocket or invis will get there first and then proceed to have the advantage that can be sustained thru the remainder of the match. I think this sucks and would like to see an option to scramble the re-spawn times so they are unpredictable, or even scramble the weapons themselves so you don't know exactly where the item is. What do you guys think of that idea, especially someone who has played competitively?

OmG, if you think that "stopwatch" gaming in Combat Evolved is bad, wait until Halo 2, where there is no "pistol-equalizer". In a normal gametype, if someone picks up a sniper rifle, it doesn't respawn until he/she drops the gun and it disappears. That means people who have the rocket launcher, the sword, the sniper rifle, the shotgun, and any other power weapons on the map will keep them until they run out of ammo and/or drop them.

Trust me, it's not as bad as in H2PC, and let's hope they put in some sort of "random weapon spawn" frequency as an option.

Yeah, plus the no respawn untill droped thing kind of brings up the TK for wepon ratio.

I think they should have different spawn times within a certain range. I don't want to wait 900 seconds for a rocket launcher, or have it respawn so fast that by the time I'm off the rocket spawn point, it will have spawned another rocket, giving me full ammo.

Also, weapons should spawn on their own time, not wait until the person using it drops it. That just gets annoying.

Also, instead of random weapon spawning like Iggwilv suggested, I think that there should be multiple spawn points for the power weapons. For example, the rocket launcher would spawn at one of three set locations on the map, and it won't spawn at any of the others until it's picked up, or blown off the spawn point and resets.

Randomization is good, it keeps the game from being too repetative, but too much of it takes out the skill involved.

Also, I don't know if that has been said before, but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT INCLUDE THE FRG IN MULTIPLAYER!!!

That weapon is so cheap it pisses me off, as there's no balance in it whatsoever.

Lastly, the rocket launcher and other weapons should be reduced so that they aren't so cheap. I think the H1 rocket launchers are more balanced in terms of rate of fire, rocket speed, and reload time. Keep the homing though, that's fun.

I got some ideas, Halo PC gave away some clever hints in the MP. (gauss hog, fuel rod, ect.) These items were put in halo 2. So it would only make sence for there to be some halo 3 content in the MP.

Have you even played Halo 2? The fuel rod cannon in Halo PC, yes, was unbalanced and too powerful. But the fuel rod cannon in Halo 2 is a much better and balanced weapon, as it can hold up to 30, with five read for firing, so it uses a classic magazine instead of an energy core that you can fire until it overheats or until it is depleted. It is a good weapon that isn't insanely powerful like the FRG in HPC, so I am looking forward to using that weapon in Halo 2 PC.

Also, there is no gauss hog in Halo PC, and there already are fuel rod cannons in Halo's campaign, so they weren't any clues or hints to Halo 2.
