Autobanning doesn't work; people just teamkill two or three times, leave the server, and rejoin so the autoban doesn't nail 'em. If they can come up with some sort of way to get around that, by all means do autobanning, but keep the ability to turn it off or change how many teamkills it takes to autoban; shotguns no shields King of the Hill on Battle Creek is fun as -blam!-, but so easy to get banned for accidental teamkills!

we r?

at least return some of the old halo pc levels, ie Hang em High, BG, but if not then map editing.

The servers listed should be like halo pc, where you can filter them by map gametype, etc

Headset support as well.

Well this may sound very stupid but... Halo PC had free online play. So i was thinking ... Halo 2 Vista could do the same? Or atleast not cost $50.

Read the H2 Vista FAQ, like people with common sense would do. :)

Halo 2 Vista won't cost a cent to play online, but you can still subscribe to the Live Anywhere service if you wish, and from what I hear, there are many reasons to do it.

Never been to a forum with stickies meant to be read by everyone? What kind of forums do you go to? :P

Dude, by now I just phase out most stickies on most forums.

Mind you, I usually don't have a problem since I don't ask (too stupid) questions or act like a jerk.

No, i got to forums which have stickes, but its just so clustered. I get lost from the threads. Im more used to IPB. But im getting used to this one.

I got another suggestion... In Halo PC we had problems like "host advantage" which gave the host of the server an upper hand, (i hope everyone here knows what im talking about) and then "lead". (you had to point your gun a few mm away from the actual person to get a direct hit). I was hoping that Halo 2 for Vista wouldn't have this...

You can bet your ass we won't have to lead in Halo 2! Thank God.

By the way, most people are smart enough to play only on dedicated servers, where nobody has the host advantage, unlike the peer-to-peer gaming you see on Xbox Live for Halo 2.

Close range attack weapons.
They wouldnt be as strong as the energy sword(which is actually a katar) but at least you arent a blue lightbulb.

Sorry, but apparently Bungie isn't adding any new weapons to Halo 2 Vista.

I posted this in another thread but, it was sort of Off-topic. This is a more welcome place for it.

"I must know if Bungie/Microsoft is going to implement a way to save Games in the form of Demo's and if a Frame dump option would be avalible.

my reason being is that in the Quake 3 and CS communities they are able to save the game and play it back in the Same game engine. But they can do a Framedump option which is a non-realtime way to creat video files from the demo file.

Most Q3 players play at about 1024x768, and about 50-60fps. With these videos they can record the demo, in realtime and no Slow down. And set the demo to render at around 1600x1200, and 300fps. This creates a amazingly clear and smooth video. They then, downsample to about 800x600 45 fps. And they get this awesome motion blur look afterwards. But it's extremely clear.

Pretty much, if Halo2 Vista had this Demo recording and Framedump option. Fraps and Gamecam would be history. No more days of getting 20fps and losing that awesome Stick or Noscope. Or losing that awesome quality.

Sorry for rambling but for the Machinima community this would be a huuugge feature, along with Flycam's and things like that."
