For those who made those posts, "State your comps specs," or somethin like that, here are my new ones.

XPS 600,
Dual 256MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800
Pentium® D Processor 820 with Dual Core Technology (2.8GHz, 800FSB)
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz- 4 DIMMs
19 inch Ultrasharp™ 1907FP Digital Flat Panel
Sound Blaster Audigy™ 2 ZS (D) Card w/Dolby 5.1,
Dual 250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM)
Dual Drives: 48x CD-RW Drive + 16x DVD+/-RW w/ double layer write capable

I've been waiting to get somethin like this for over a year, and I finally got it. YES, WOOOOOOT. Its a lot better than my current comp. 512 ram, 1.5 ghz cpu, and a 64 mb intel integrated vid card. BLAH. Stupid lappy.

Good job! You just wasted money on a Dell! What else are you going to waste your money on!?!?

Building your own computer is actually cheaper and better than buying a Dell(they don't want you to overclock).

Sigh, not another one. Sure its cheaper, sure its easier to keep buying parts over and over and over. But with this, I get warranty, quite a lot, I can upgrade, as I have many discounts, and I dont have to put hours of putting it together. So your one of the small percentage who doesnt like dell, your opinion. Keep it to yourself. You might find it amusing to post negative crap like that. I am aware it cheaper to buy pieces individually. You can go right ahead. In the end cheaper for me. Oh and in answer to your question, what other things will i waste my money on....hmmm, I got it. I am planning on wasting it on one of those things called an education, you know what that is right? I surely hope so.

Building a computer doesn't take hours and hours if you know what you're doing.

I'm 15 and I built my first computer a few months ago, it took me one hour.

Congratulations on digging yourself into debt for a machine that is only marginally better than most machines that are only 3/4 to 1/2 the cost.

Hmmm, interesting replies :). McKeegan, you keep your debt, I'll keep my 30% discounts. I don't like debt, so I stay out of it :). Oh yeah, one last thing. Lay off. I have built many machines on my own, for cryin out loud i live in a house with over 13 comps, most of them custom built. I bought this because i wanted to. So lay off. Holy $&i#. I just felt like posting this because it's MY comp, completely. I would have gone for custom, but I am to young to order parts on my own, and my dad wont let me get stuff from newegg.com but he let me buy this, because he trusts dell, and he has loads of discounts.

Nice one mate, happy for you, I just got a dell laptop from the bargain basement, 1.86 ghz, 1gb ram, 64mb something or other graphics card, 80gb hard drive etc. was a bargain at £500 and I can finally play C&C Generals!

Power isnt everything... its what you do with it that counts...!

Hey dude, sweet for you. That is a B.A. rig, and Im sure it will be for at least 2 years. I agree that building your own pc is much cheaper, but you also run the cost of breaking something. Also, when you buy a rig you get a good warranty, something that can really come in handy. And to that n00b who said he built a pc in an hour, YOU ARE FULL OF IT. You can not build a machine, let alone a good one, in a hour. Just installing the processor and all the fans can easily take that long. But anyways, good and bad for you, becuase you have a sweet rig but now you have to get Vista to play H2. Enjoy.

Yeah, I'm kind of with the other guys with the whole Dell thing... I mean, it's cool you got a fast computer and all, but you could have spent that money on something like an Xbox 360 for probably a 1/3 of the price and had a comparable machine.

Dell's are notoriously buggy and unreliable. True you have a warranty, but what good is a computer if you're constantly sending it in or troubleshooting? The countless hours you'll spend trying to fix the thing could have been used putting together one from scratch.

shut up about the 360 already. the 360 launch was only the ...lets think... 2nd worst in video game history? not to mention that 13% or something of 360s were defective, and the dvd drive chews up your disk if you move the thing while its spinning. then theres the overheating problems...

if you ask me dells are more stable than a 360...
and ive seen the graphics in some *note: SOME. i havent seen them all.* games and they were nothing to "ooh!" and "ahh!" about.

opinion and preference are not a matter to be discussed in such a manner as this. please desist. it is ridiculous for a guy to come in here and say "hey look at this computer i got, i really like it." and everyone here say "dude... youre an idiot."

if he likes the thing, whatever. im not saying i like dells... i hate the god-forsaken things at school. but to flame someone for something he likes?

you guys must be immature sons of -blam!-es.

-Heero out.

P.S. hmm... youre 15 eh orcface? what are you doing playin halo hmm?
