Subject: Is Halo legends canon?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

just because something is canonical irrelevant, does not make it waste, the books were good, they were exactly what they were meant to be, a good entertaining story. you seem to think something has to be canonically correct to be good, than it is you who is a complete and utter -blam!- retard

Do you have any idea what you're going on about? The novels are 110% canon, where are you pulling this bollocks that I only like things that are canon? I've been writing and reading Halo fan fiction for 5 years, I'm pretty sure none of that is canon and yet I enjoy it.

Everytime someone sacks my groceries, I think of Loaf.

If you thought the Spartans were nice, don't read the books.

Of course not. Spartans never had those single manned space vehicles. That's the only thing I remember from seeing that besides Solomon. The spartan who was never actually on Blue Team.

You realize that "Blue Team" is just a mission designation, right?

Blue Team is made up of whoever the Chief needs with him for a mission. This is why James and Linda make up Blue Team during the Fall of Reach, while Fred, Kelly and co. make up Red Team.

So if it is the games that count, which difficulty is the canon one?

I would say Legendary with all skulls but Blind on would capture the difficulty of fighting a technologically superior race.

no, bungie has been saying for the last 10 years that heroic is the official difficulty.

Ah, my mistake. Heroic seems kinda easy to me though.

There is no canon difficulty. If you go by realism, Legendary with all skulls except for blind(HUDs are canon in Halo and real).

Herioc is official because it's fun to play with a challenging and great way to play Halo without beaten your controller off the ground. Legendary is to die and get lucky.

Actually, Heroic is official because the damage tables are more or less equal to the book physics. Normal is way too easy to lower shields, Legendary is too hard to do so, Heroic depicts ideal shield strength with Elites and the resistance of the other races.

I meant overall as all the Spartans that were under Chiefs command. He was made up, just like Noble Team.

Really? Brutes take entire mags from 15 different marines then survive a wharthog hits at full speed(Not to mention this brute, Maccebus, was around eighty I'm guessing)?

Or Marines on Herioc die in one shot from a plasma pistol?

The only hing accuate is shield strength for the SPARTANs.

Games would be impossible if Brutes took that much damage before dying, you would literally go back all the way to the beginning of the level just to get more ammunition when facing just one if they did so.

Marines would be nothing but ducks if they died in one shot, besides, even in Legendary with all skulls on, Marines are not killed in one shot nor are Brute that resistant, so yeah...

Yet, I proved you wrong. The closest thing to the books realism is Legendary All Skulls. Herioc is official because of the reasons I said earlier, and because Bungie likes it the best, and doesn't want you to feel bad that you aren't playing Legendary while others are.
