Subject: Halo: CEA Soundtrack is doomed...

I'm deaf now, but I wasn't then. I just couldn't imagine the music being any different, whatsoever, from the original game. It seems horrifying to me actually. The music throughout the whole game was perfect, and so iconic for what was being played at the specific moment (like battle/tempo).

A shame I never got to hear the soundtracks from the other games in the series, but from what I've been told (and read), I heard the best already.

The remakes music is basically identical. Just reorchestrated. Reach's is okay, though nothing really memorable. Halo 2 has its moments though it's probably a bit spazzy, 3 has a rather good soundtrack, excellent timing.

\It's just a cleaner version....

Not really. It's actually quite different. The sound texture is different, the tempo is restructured, and the emphasis is totally different in the middle section. It's a very different sound from the original. In the chanting, and even moreso in the rhythm.

I'm also not sure why everyone is calling it "cleaner." It's certainly smoother, in the sense that it doesn't use the textured sound that the original does, but that's not an issue of sound cleanliness, it's a style choice.

How many World of Warcrafts does it take to screw in a virgin? LIGHTBULB!

yeah I'm not diggin it. too rushed of a tempo and the african chanting was just bad in the new version.

I wouldn't object if they had just redone the orchestral section with a live orchestra. but they had to -blam!- up marty's greatest score in Halo...

I'm willing to accept changes.

Combat Evolved had the best Soundtrack out of all of them, and yes I agree with you, to an extent. Halo 3 was good and so was the Halo Legends soundtrack, I am willing to give it a chance, I just hope they dont blam it up to badly
If you want to play CE with the old music, then play CE. As for me, I'd rather new music than recycled ones.

Don't judge me as a player by the statistics I have for Halo 3 on this Xbox Live account. My older account was unfortunately hacked and I had to start all over again. My older Bungie account was supamario493 with the gamertag ShottySnipa417, which had been stolen from me. I did, however manage to get Recon again. =D

Here, here!

I'm willing to accept changes. TBH, it will bring off the same sense of something new, just like what was said in the Waypoint Exclusive ViDoc.
