"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

#1 - Halo PC players are different from Halo: Xbox players.
Xbox players don't mod their game or make maps or third-party programs or run their own servers. They go to wal-mart drop $40 and put the disk in the xbox. That's it. Maybe if they're good-little-players they signup for xbox live and pay for map packs.
HPC on the other hand has a different community. A community that, if you guys hadn't announced you were making H2PC would have made it ourselves either using HEK or doing HL2 total conversion. Add that to the number of porgrams out there that decrease lag and imporve gameplay, and I think you'll see the difference between Zanzibar and the Maw.
Bottom line: While Halo Xbox players may invest more money in their game, HPC players invest more time in theirs (and I don't mean simply playing).
I can't seem to see how investments in games relate to usage of forums. Considering that it would seem odd that people who invest time in games would spend time on Bungie.net.
#2 H2PC is, at its core an HPC subject? Yeah, but your conclusion does not follow.
Firstly, H2PC is no longer a 'possible future bungie project'. It has been announced and confirmed. Halo and Halo 2 have their own forums (Library and Zanzibar), so why can't HPC and H2PC have their own? Comparing the H2PC discussion to the H3 discussion just doesn't fit.
1) Halo Xbox and Halo PC both have their own forums (The Library and The Maw). If Halo 3 were to come out, Halo 2 discussion would probably be moved to the Library, and Zanzibar and the like would be most likely renamed and turned into their respective Halo 3 forums.
2) We say that H2PC and H3 discussion are one and the same because they both have a place to go. H3 discussion falls under "Bungie General," despite the fact that there are so many threads about it, and H2PC falls under "Halo PC," despite the fact that there are so many threads about it.
#3 Welcome to tomorrow?
Welcome to now. I don't mean to rude, Recon, but pithy remarks such as that seem to betray the empathy you claim. Furthermore, they don't do much to help the situation.
Actually, it was supposed to mean that things change, and that (as I said) eventually the discussion about H2PC will die down a bit, and HPC discussion will come up again.
#4 The Point
I just want to know that, as the release of H2PC draws near, you guys will make a new forum for it. The HPC community has been patient. The HPC community has invested more of itself in these games. And we honestly feel that we should at least be acknoweledged as much as the Halo: Xbox community and given, at some point, separate forums for HPC and H2PC - trend or no trend.
If I know this is temporary, I'll endure it.
Considering HPC has its own forum, I don't know why you want one.
And I fail to see why, considering both games are still Halo 2, H2PC multiplayer and general discussion could still go into Zanzibar and New Mombasa, provided the topics are about Halo 2 in general, rather than Halo 2 Vista.
