bah

The new Bungie.net has been effectively up for 2 days as of right now. The first posts came three days ago, but the first replies came about 48 hours ago. To put this in perspective, just look at how many posts we've had in two days. A lot. About 360 threads in the Underground and 70 threads in the Septagon. That's a lot of threads. In the first ten pages, we have over 1500 posts in the Underground. That's a lot of posts man! And that's not including the 26 pages from the first day when it was super ultra active! I estimate we've made about 4000 posts in the last two days! Stosh has been answering questions like mad and has already 176 posts, and the biggest number is SketchFactor with 50. 50 posts by a Bungie employee in two days! Holey crap! I should change my title to Holey Super Mega Ultra -blam!--Loads Of Uber Fantastico Activity Batman! Cause the activity level is sky high! We're rivaling HBO here. And if you include the Septagon, we're beating them. That's a scary thought...

Interesting numbers, things should calm down soon enough.

I must say that the new forums are much more user friendly (atleast to us, phpbb-phreks).. Good Job Bungie. :D

it would be nice to have some calm, but I wouldn't mind this amount of activity if the fourm had 25 posts per page. Also, a meld of new threads with most recent posts would make a good ordering system.

That's what it is now - The thread with the most recent post goes up the top under the stickies. But 25 posts per page as a minimum. Achronos said it was some technical issue that they had to have only 10 threads on the page, so hopefully this will be fixed soon. Plus a search function. NO MORE DUPLICATE THREADS!

Just as long as there are no stupid trolls over-running the forums than I am happy.

The problem is old threads can kick new threads right off the page. If it worked on a system that threads with new posts went up a couple spaces, that would work better. That way, new threads don't get kicked off thge front page. Then again, 25 posts per page will probably fix that problem anyway. I just don't want people making replies to their own post, just to revive it, like I did. :-P

The posters from the old Bungie.net will continue to post. This is excellent.

The same thing can happen with posts with polls in them.

As for this forum, its pretty good.
And this is just the begining.

Oh man! I wish I had enough time to read more of these threads. So far I've only been able to read the beginnings of some, but by the time I get back, it's simply no use to try to read everything I missed. This is awesome! I've also discovered it's even more awesome when I get away from my home connection and try the T1 at college (I graduated, but I came back for the Job Fair today and decided to remember what was so great about T1's anyway). All the problems I had using dialup and a low screen resolution (set by my dad) went away here. The Bungie logo and the navbar no longer make me feel claustrophobic. I love this!

Great job Bungie team!

Just my thoughts,
Poocho :)

I'll also be able to pin more topics when we get 25 post per page. Right now three is my limit. I don't want to take up half the board with pins!
