John117 is Galactus
Galactus is God

I'm sure you've noticed the biblical ties Bungie has incorporated into the Bungie games. If you have been through the story line you will learn that to save humanity you must "restart" the universe. You will also find that there is yet to be a character that concludes its "rampancy", therefore no one knows what happens after rampancy. Master Chief is not human, he is classed "cyborg" thus giving him the opportunity to embark on rampancy. If you are a christian you should know that there is "God" is us all.We are the "Player(s)" of Master Chief. Master Chief will undergo rampancy, and in his last stage of rampancy will have the desire to become god. He will then be THE one, "The Timeless one" who is brought up in the storyline of Marathon, to restart the universe. Even though bungie denies it now, the Ceo at one point did in fact state that master chief IS in fact the Marathon man. Being a cyborg and all.. He CAN live forever. He will restart the universe and be the only one in the new universe, thus making him "God"

There is "God" in us all. We as the "Player(s)" of Master Chief will make him the Hero to have died a thousand times as also depicted in the marathon story line.

Thus the ending of the storyline is the beginning.
Master Chief becomes "God"

Refer to my signature if you want to know yourself.
"John117 is Galactus
Galactus is God"

If you are a hardcore fan (by that i mean has read all books and has "googled" all of the info and meaning for everything possible in the storyline bungie has flawlessly depicted, refer to this website and read the WHOLE thing and you will understand why this is, in fact, the ending.

P.S. Please don't post here until you've gained your storyline knowledge and read everything in the URL posted above. OR AT LEAST read everything in the URL posted above.

Edited: I edited this to tell you that i have come to the conclusion that he doesn't become "God" but our lord and savior, Master Chief, or "Christ" (which you can spell out of "master chief" but realize that "Jesus Christ" is in fact god.. just in a different form.. sorry im bad at interpreting this, I'm an athiest. But if i believe in any religion it would be Master Chief's :)

Uh, no. He is a genetically modified human wearing a suit of mjolnir armour integrated with his nervous system. Calling him a cyborg is like calling alcatraz from crysis 2 a cyborg.

You must not know what Master Chief's bones are made of.. Or you're in denial.
Also keep in mind that the events of Marathon happen 228 years AFTER the events of Halo 3. So think about when the Ceo said Master Chief was Marathon man, think of everything Master Chief would have undergone by this time. The battles, the knowledge, everything.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Chief isn't a god. And he is a cyborg, but not a robot like you made him out to be. MC can never undergo Rampancy, as he is more human than machine.

I clearly called him a cyborg and not a robot. Look up the definition of a cyborg and realize that a cyborg can be considered more computer/machine than human.

Also, he isn't god.. He becomes god.

Pure human bone, reinforced with a 'shell' of a carbon-ceramic (or similar, anyway) compound.

I really don't see this one. It's just a link of references. I suppose the Marathon Symbol throughout Halo is also alluding to the 'truth'?

I'm sure that Bungie has confirmed that Marathon and Halo do not take place in the same universe.
Also, think about the levels of human civilisation in both universes.. unless Halo devolved to the exploration/colonisation stage over 200-odd years, its impossible.

I'm calling a "not true" on this theory.

Master Chief's bones will last forever, will someone find proof of this?

"Yes the final screen would suggest that both Durandal and the Player survive to see the very point of collapse, that one moment in time, when all become one. Escaping this point would potentially allow the survivor to become God in the next Universe created after the closure. This is what Durandal meant when he said Escape will make me God on "Colony Ship For Sale, Cheap". Yet by Durandal's calculation the closure would not occur until T-Minus 15.193792102158E+9 years or thereabouts.?

15.193792102158E+9 is a major hint linking the halo universe to the marathon universe, must i stress again that the Ceo himself is the one who said Master Chief IS Marathon man. Go use google or something.

I can't find it but im sure one of you can find where i read that his bones were replaced with some type of reinforced steel, titanium perhaps?
I'm about 90% sure it was a ceramic-based compound.

Ah! Halopedia, with reference to TFoR, page 57 (or 74 for 2010 book):
"Surgery is performed on the arms, and legs of the subjects body to expose the bone, an advanced carbide ceramic material is grafted onto the skeletal structure to begin skeletal ossification. This process works by breaking down bone and rebuilding it stronger then before. This results in the bones being virtually unbreakable. The coverage of this procedure does not exceed 3% total bone mass due to significant white blood cell necrosis, to make up for that a growth hormone is administered to help strengthen the bones throughout the rest of the body."

3% maximum of other materials.
97% bone, 3% Carbide Ceramics.

Just to give you a breif lesson in the english language."Like you made him out to be" does not mean "like you said". Making something out to be something does not mean literally saying that it IS that thing. Derp.

How so? His bones are by no means non-human, metal of any kind, or more than 50% other materials. It doesn't prove any of your conclusions.

Granted they are 'unbreakable': but they're still human bone.

Also, what did you do?

why does it matter if they're human or not.. and yes.. he is a cyborg..or at least he would be "classed" as one.

Someone with a heart transplant or even a simple robotic arm and nothing more can be considered a cyborg.

Oh and i changed a sentence in a past post :D

The Marathon man is a cyborg, while the Chief is a chemically enhanced and genetically selected human, who is almost no part machine.

His only link to being a machine would be his UNSC-standard neural interface, and his external armour.

That's what makes him a cyborg.. and even marathon man had a squishy brain. Durandal said it himself.
Plus his external suit, the MJOLNIR Mark VI armor contains automatic biofoam injectors, which will just repair him throughout his whole existance.

The point I am making is that the Chief has no mechanical implants that would make him a cyborg by any means; he is known as one because of his armour. Without his armour, he is really just a human on drugs, like super-mega-steroids.

Also, the events and civilisations of the two universes don't line up, and don't match enough to even be comparable.
The only things to tie the Chief and the Marathon man together is the style in which Bungie makes its games (each developer has a style, Bungie's is apparently supersoldier-in-space games) and a string of references to Marathon throughout Halo as a throwback to a series gone by.

The Cheif =/= Marathon Man. I'm going to bed..

I'll just stress this one last time. Ceo of Bungie once announced that Master Chief IS Marathon man, despite the fact that bungie now denies this claim.. it's so you don't find out the truth early on.

almost right.
while a heart transplant doesn't make a cyborg (since it's biological) an artifical heart (or more common: cochlear implant) per definitionem does and the term is applied in medicine.

btw - simple robotic arm made me laugh. if only it were that simple...

Artificial heart is more like what i meant, so yea you're right, and robotic arm was just an example since having one would in fact make you a cyborg, i mean im sure you'de still be classed as a human but yea.. its cybernetic.

Please, if there's some posts ide rather it be about the original or anything said by me. I'm trying to find someone that will undoubtly prove my theory wrong, otherwise ill stay true to my belief seeing as bungie left MANY hints which i have followed up to this conclusion. When typing an opinion please do not contradict yourself with anything said above.

You didn't and I never said you did, genius. If i accidentally implied that you said that it was your mistaken interpretation. "Like you said" was how you interpreted his sentence that i quoted first. Either you made a completely idiotic mistake or ur MAD bro.

Perhaps i should word it better for one like you.
The SENTENCE that you thought i said that YOU said, was actually how you were INTERPRETING his quote "made him out to be".
