CORTANA
1/ please dear god don't go changing Cortana.Yes she will remain as she was in the old graphic mode but being they are changing lots of things for the new visuals, there is real danger they will here too.The old Cortana with those devilishly cool freaky eyes was one of the things that made Halo1
REMASTERED MUSIC
2/ Iv'e heard an extract from the new remastered audio -at the end of the waypoint podcast mp3- and there are noticable subtle differences i am hearing.Playing Halo1 campaign for ten years make you very aware of any differences. Why exactly are they remastering Marty's perfect soundtrack in any case. There are volume differences to choir theme and overally loud percussion part.Othere differences too i'm not so sure of. Will the game allow original soundtrack as well?
SCREEN TEAR
3/ Screen tear. The company handling some of anniversary is Saber and their previous time game had very noticable screen tear. The code is based on original source code i understand but does that actually translate to having no screen tear on the 360 as well. The new gaphics mode will no doubt use the 360's hardware well enough for this to be a potential problem. The video for anniversary already shows a stuttering framerate at times anyway and this should be of concern to people. Halo3, ODST and Reach very clevery hid it's screen tear at the very top of the screen and was barely noticable. Saber and one of their last games based on time, this had some very obvious screen tear. Bare in mind that Halo1 and 2 don't suffer at all with screen tear even if the graphics get bogged down to a low framerate. Screen tear is super ugly and has as yet not been part of any Halo game- at least not that you can ever really see it. Halo Wars suffers badly with screen tear as to a lot of games this gen but Halo1 never did
I hope 343 is fully aware of all of this
So what do people think about this. I'm not just being unreasonable with my concerns here, rather i'm concerned that fairly obvious stuff is not ignored
