Yeah, they sure care abut the Mantle, de-evolving species and what not. And again, why would Bias send John to a world teeming with evil Forerunners?

Posted by: DecepticonCobra
Explain to me why Mendicant Bias, who influenced Chief's trajectory from the Ark's Slipspace Portal, would say he was going to send him to his makers to redeem himself send Chief to Onyx where no Forerunners are.

This contradicts itself...

Considering the last two books of the Forerunner trilogy have yet to come out, I can only base my assumptions on known information. In Cryptum, humanity was de-evolved by the Forerunners. Does that make them evil? No, it just makes them hypocrites, like us when we have a moral doctrine we praise yet follow liberally.

Your theory is not fact.

Listen, we've been through this a thousand times, bungie always does this. They always put "theorized" or "it is thought that" bla bla bla and then it turns out that the "theory" or what it was "thought" to be or come out to be was actually the truth.

I also found somewhere else that bias MAY have downloaded himself into MC's mainframe.

That is not how a theory works. You haven't proven anything, only speculated.

What is this? Court? obviously since guilty until proven innocent. I think this is why they named Guiltyspark what they did xD

So in other words, you won't know if what im saying is true until they reveal it themselves..

i really think i just stumbled on to something with the guiltyspark thing haha

Why do I need a theory to tell him his theory is NOT fact?

You constantly persist that his theory isn't backed by facts, but you yet have given us a theory...

The theory about forerunner prisoners comes from Cryptum and he combined Cryptum and GoO...

As for Monitor, he quoted his entire post from Halo wiki which is referenced to Halo: Contact Harvest

I've said this.. maybe in a different post.. history repeats itself. The covenant thought they were doing something good.. found us.. and the prophets turned them against us. But in the end.. the elites were the good guys. Maybe everyone is a good guy.. there's just the bad ones.. and the good ones.. and maybe the TRUE evil is Gravemind and the Flood alone.

There weren't any Forerunner prisoners in Cryptum if I recall, only a Precursor prisoner that escaped after the Halo ring was fired on Chakkum Hakkor.

I didn't say the forerunner prisoners were in cryptum. I'm saying that in cryptum they describe what a "Cryptum" is.. which would back up the threads original theory of "prisoned" forerunners.

Understand? :o dude im not trying to argue with you, i'm trying to tell you what i know from what ive read. I may be considered a troll but i don't make up random -blam!-. Just ideas and brought up from other fact or just the theories posted on wiki and/or wownation.

But the Cryptum's are not prisons, they are a method for Warriors to impose self-exile for dishonor or shame, not as punishment imposed by a court or judge.

Why are you so persistent to prove theories about a game that isn't coming out for a year in a half wrong... you are as wrong as anyone here...

It's called speculation idiot, can't take people not supporting every word that others say get off the Universe Forum.

You don't make sense! You just said that we don't have valid theories and then you said speculation... Pick one...

Most people merely speculate what they think, or they try to input facts, which is by definition a theory... Otherwise we are predicting what is going to happen (which actually would seem more accurate)

You're absolutely right, idr if i was the one who said they were prisoners or if it was the thread, but i do know i said they were "prisoned" i actually meant "imprisoned". With that said, ill theorize that the next enemy that IS of the forerunners will be Forerunner warriors that were so honorable they put themselves through exile just b/c of a mistake they had made in the past. Think about it, a warrior so honorable, you'de think they'de be an admirable foe, right? This was probably also intended, maybe they knew they they would need warriors from the past in the future so they just picked all the screw ups and made them seal themselves in cryptums.

That last part is just a thought but yea, i think you get the gist of it.

Unfortunately, the Halo Encyclopedia, though somewhat sketchy, says that some Forerunners left the Orion Arm of the Milky Way galaxy while the others died. I suppose on some far off rock some Warriors built Cryptum's, but it's very unlikely they would on a Shield World. None were found on the Flood-infested SW or on Onyx. And even if we buy the "One portal links them all" it would seem pretty counter-productive if the Flood breached the defenses.

Lets go over it. We have Forerunners in the Shield World and Warriors in their Cryptum's. The Flood infiltrate the SW and attack. Now the Forerunners have to awaken the Warriors, but a problem arises. The Warriors have to be treated with a mineral bath that restores them. There would be no time to do any of that.

For now, I'll stick to what is established, some Forerunner's fled the galaxy, the rest died and no Cryptum's were set up since.

I just realized.. maybe they DID plan this and they DID put the cryptums in the shield world.. think about it. You would only be on the shield world AFTER the use of the halo array. What does the halo array do? kills everyone! So just in case the halo array was used and all the forerunners were killed.. they would have imprisoned forerunners in the shield world(s) to back up the legacy or w/e. but damn.. the bathing.. Maybe the baths are on the shield world? who knows :/ *shrugs and yea, wiki and w/e is really sketchy, they give a lot of "theories", "ideas", "thoughts" and "speculations" but bungie has done that since halo 2, i remember googling this stuff.

It can't possibly be Onyx (seeing as it was destroyed) but it can be "it's" shield world, or a shield world of some kind...

On Waypoint I'm rocketFox;
http://halo.xbox.com/forums/members/rocketfox/default.aspx

Old GTs; RebelRobot, Flamedude

Its a safe bet that its a shield world, as they have been mentioned in the original trilogy, but I think it is unlikely that it is Onyx. If it is Onyx then it throws so many unfamiliar complicated story elements into the mix that the majority of Halo players wont understand what is happening.

As for the Dawn just happening to have a new suit of Mjolnir on board, even more unlikely. Mainly; why didnt the chief wear it during the battle of The Ark? Why would a lowly Frigate be the ideal place to simply store armour worth more than an entire Destroyer?

NOT INTO THE LONG GRASS!

I honestly don't think one single shield world is going to be the focus of the game.

But I really do think the series is going to be an epic battle against the Precursors. It just seems epic.
