Honestly? The most likely situation (if time permits) is that we'll get a teaser at E3 next year. Then they'll stop talking about it again. They'll probably release another trailer at the VGA's next December, as well. After that, they'll go dark again. No new news, no new screens, no new videos or trailers. Until, E3 2013. That's when they'll really show off their new IP. Probably with a trailer that shows off the truly unique aspects of the game(s). Then they'll start letting the news trickle out slowly, but surely. It'll probably be released either Fall 2014 or Spring 2015. Possibly along side a new console released by Microsoft or Sony. (think about how the JJ Abrams movie "Super 8" was marketed, in that it wasn't ha)
I hate to say it, but I think this is very likely the situation we'll see with Bungie revealing their new IP. I've been with Bungie since Halo 1 came out along side the original Xbox console. They've always worked in mysterious, yet predictable, ways.
