I <3 you too Bungie

There has been a good bit of speculation as to what the community will look like after the last bits of Halo life are wrung from the dry and withered pages of the Bnet forums. I finally just want to know if I (and I think I can say the community forum as a whole) will still have a Bungie home after Bungie day, or if the embodied reset button (that is "going dark") will mean we should cocoon ourselves for months and wait in silence.

Gosh, I hope this place is still here after Bungie Day.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

But they will do so using interpretive dance, and finger painting.

Brace yourselves.

Seems like a desolate wait as we approach the announcement of their next IP. Hopefully it'll happen before the end of the year.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

I imagine they would, but to a lesser extent. From the sounds of it, they are super busy, but i doubt they are busy enough to completely ignore us for such a period of time.

The part that sucks most about all of this is that I am entering grad school this fall. That means my schedule will be more open to lurking Bnet--but most of the exciting stuff will be hidden and traffic will most likely nosedive. I guess that means I just get to be part of the more core group, right?

we think there are better ways of doing forums than the "classical" approach we have now... at least for large scale populations.

Si-!

Honestly, considering they usually wait until less than 2 years before releasing a new game to make an announcement, I would not be surprised if we don't hear much until next year around e3.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Interpretive dance is too interpretive.

I need something more concrete. Like smoke signals.
