If finger painting results in anything like the iconic, "Mister Chief" I'm all for it!

Who is "Mister Chief"?
I only know Master Chief.

Tut tut. Time for some light reading I think.

I'd much prefer interpretive painting and finger dancing ;-

That should be a Kinect title.

Lol. I think all their current plans for Kinect titles should be good enough to satiate that need.

Bungie.net is the only website that has been able to hold my interest for such a long period of time, and I can only imagine there are still many years to come.

But they will do so using interpretive dance, and finger painting.

Brace yourselves.

"How to: Derail a Thread?"

Have have decided. This will be my response whenever Recon sends a thread on a downward spiral into certain oblivion. I am prepared to use it a lot.

I get the feeling that Urk's definition of interacting with the community is doing comm chatter. -_-
I am leaning the same way. To tell you honestly I am ok with that though as long as they do not abandon fans willing to hang. :)

How can they shrug off 500 bullets?

good to know bungie will keep a warm soft spot in their hearts for us.

  • 06.11.2011 3:02 PM PDT

La-hoo, Za-her.

I think we all have to accept the sad fact that Bungie is going away for awhile. I just hope their fanbase doesn't erode too severely.

Bungie was here before Halo and they will be here after Halo.
Yeah, Bnet wil just be based off their new games.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Always have, always will.

Bungie has made many games and they always talk to their fans.

Right now, Bungie is the proverbial caterpillar in it's cocoon waiting to emerge as a beautiful and admired butterfly.

Actually Caterpillars form a Chrysalis which they chill in as they metamorph into a butterfly. Moths are the ones who spin Cocoons out of silk.

But yes.

This account is now retired due to WLID changing. Webteam needs to fix that, seriously >.>

Sorry for the bump, but will there still be weekly updates? With no news on Aerospace and everything Halo being handled by 343 (well, from what I understand anyway, sorry if I'm wrong there) what could such updates contain apart from the least fulfilling filler ever posted on Bungie.net?

Blurred pictures of Bungie working hard on Aerospace? Marathon Month/Year? A paragraph a week from Bungie employee's describing aerospace purely through weasel words (e.g. describing it without describing it)? Or even a weekly story focusing on the adventures of the long lost webmaster? Though I hear the webmaster retired when the person who was in essence the webmaster left, perhaps there should be a second webmaster. Preferably in orangutan form (A certain Librarian from a certain fiction has given me a fondness for that type of ape. And they're red.).

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

I know I'll be one of those checking Aerospace everyday, as well as Stosh's webcams.I will find something. Even if it kills me! XD

I have noticed how the overlay image is a GIF image. I know that's common on the interwebs but that may mean it is animated.

Oh right. No weeklys... Usually I would blame my terrible memory but I guess that line was repressed with the now fresh images of grunt's gone wild (featuring Sage) that need to be double repressed.

I don't remember them going for an extended period of time without a weekly update before, except for holidays, conferences, and the like. While I have no doubt they'll still interact with the Community, I'm not sure it will be on the same level as before, depending on the game they make next.

I wonder whether or not 343 will still give us our inaugural playlist on Bungie Day (or Fried Chicken).

Although Bungie will probably give us the cold shoulder on halo,(Much like the parents of an Abducted Child.)

The important question is:

Will I get to keep my ninja/hayabusa avatar in the Bungie Forums?

U-No, the thing to the left of my name....

  • 06.25.2011 12:31 AM PDT

I grew up playing your games Bungie, and I sure as hell am looking forward to whatever you decide to do next.

I am sensing some kind of overhaul for the whole website once it comes out of this so called "dark" period. I look forward to it to be honest, looking back at how Bnet has evolved over the years makes me anticipate the cool things to come.

You must not know 'bout me

Give Eros a try. It's an active Off-Topic forum where everyone feels like friends.

Feel the love

Of course they will be involved. I doubt there will be any Weekly Updates before Bungie Day. They'll need all of that stuff to stay on the homepage.
