Jonzx5, by trying to insult me you prove you don't think your facts are solid enough.

Lol. Now I actually think you are deliberately trolling. Because, appearently, direct quotations from Halo Books are not "solid enough" facts. My bad.

For the 10th time in a row, you have elected to ignore all the facts and evidence I have posted, and instead, chose to comment on something completely unrelated to make yourself feel better, and you do this on BOTH threads. I can now safely conclude that you have lost this debate, on BOTH threads.

You stated they were quotes, but provided no page number.

On the other hand, we did.

Oh, my brother was curious what your qualifications in hand to hand combat were? Seeing as he was a high school wrestler and noted any light-weight fighter facing a heavy weight fight lost their speed advantage.

You also prove lack of canon by saying Elites are not as trained as Spartans in combat, same for brutes.

Edit: How is calling you out for pointless insulting the other debater trolling? It just means you can't counter our statements. Like the tea party cheering when called racist. They knew their opponents had to resort to insults to win, thus showing their arguments were stronger.

This is true. Sangheili are trained in combat from childhood just as Spartans and Jiralhanae are. It's a way of life for all three. In addition, Zealots have immense amounts of combat experience, more than most Spartan-IIIs, in fact.

Really what this all boils down to is which Elite versus which Spartan. There's a world of difference between Thel 'Vadam versus some random, underperforming Alpha company Spartan and John-117 versus some random Elite Minor fresh off of Sangheilios.

"I have a dime!"- toothless moron

Well in all honesty I think it would depend on the Elite and Spartan. That is like saying that people who cut trees are better than people who demolish buildings.

I kind of want to go back and count how many times he insulted us, even before I gave up...

Well, I like Elites, and I also like Spartans. But which is better? There's only one way to find out...

Brutes are faster?

WTF

No they are not? Read the First Strike encounter between John and a Brute to find out why.

Posted by: Ins3ktz
Elites are more powerful in the books.

That and the fact that they can one hand Rocket Launchers...

The Jackhammer only weighs 15kg... And it is also gameplay.

What examples do you have to support you first sentence?

I know the Brutes are much slower than elites. And in the books, it's clear from the line in "The Fall Of Reach" that Elites (Even Minors) were at least as strong as Spartans.

From First Strike page 310, word for word:

"The transient contact was back--a shadow moved around the same pillar John used for cover. It moved faster than an Elite--as fast as John."

Brutes are as fast as Spartans, faster than Elites.

No. Please state a source of cannon that negates this.

Back on track... I think it is a pizo-electric layer within Mjolnir that is the underlying mechanism for force multiplying circuits. Pass an electric current through these materials and they rapidly change shape. They don't need top be too thick. It probably is some magic Forerunner device underlying it though, just like their weaponry in actually containing enough energy to produce hundreds of superheated plasma bolts. You'd need capacitors the size of a car or something for that.
The Fall of Reach
"Most importantly," Dr. Halsey said, "the armor's inner structure is composed of a new reactive metal liquid crystal. It is amorphous, yet fractally scales and amplifies force."
Judging by this anecdote, it would seem the force amplification is a property of the "reactive metal liquid crystal" itself rather than a powered mechanism. Because of this it leads me to believe there's no way for an Elite's armor to amplify force in the same manner that MJOLNIR does because their armor lacks this layer of T-1000 fluid.

Halsey's Journal explains it more in depth. The entries on July 30th, 2511 and September 1st, 2525 to be precise. It is still pizo-electric in nature, it is just that the liquid form allows for more flexibility in that it will operate under a greater range of movements than the solid form. It is still contained within capillaries though. The system looks fairly small.

Pretty much Slade.

A zealot vs a chieftain vs a spartan II is an interesting fight.

All three are considered "The best" of their groups respectively, and even then it boils to each one's personal skill level.

Elites are capable of running faster than Spartans. That excerpt implied otherwise, invalidating it.

I still don't get why people try to say Brutes/Elites cannot move as fast as Spartans, if not faster.

Higher gravity worlds mean at 1g environments (Earth like) the elites and brutes will naturally be stronger, faster, and have more stamina.

Well if you look at any Halo game in existence that featured Brutes, the Brutes are always 20 time sslower than Elites. Bungie even said that Elites were supposed to be more agile.

Yeah... berserking brutes.

That's all I have to say about that. Oh, and halo 2 brutes took many melees to get killed :P. Halo 2 had the best gameplay showing of how tough brutes are.

Hand to hand no weapons? The chieftain would own the other two.

With weapons? The zealot has a chance.

Hand to hand no weapons I guess yeah. With weapons I'd say the Chieftain has NO chance.
