I am the voice of reason... It's why I keep my mouth shut
So, I've been made aware now of the novel Halo Cryptum, but here was the original post anyway:
The 'Forerunners' were human.
I've thought this out very carefully, but to save from writing an essay, I'll open it to opinions and questions. It just seems logical, and possibly the ULTIMATE twist to Halo.
But I'll point out the main thing sparked my theory, a statement made by 343 Guilty Spark in Halo CE, while playing The Library: "The Forerunners built this place to study and contain the Flood: their survival as a race depended on it. ...I am glad to see that some of them survived and reproduced."
At first, I just assumed he was crazy [as you do] and was talking about the Floood. But, what if the race he was referring to wasn't the flood, but the Forerunners? He uses both terms 'Flood' and 'Forerunner' preceding "their survival as a race depended on it". And he's glad to some of them survived to reproduce? This things been the monitor of Delta for hundreds of thousands of years, and he says this as if it's new information, as if he only just found out! Humans arrive on Delta Halo, and he announces "I am glad to see that some of them survived and reproduced." Coincidence??
Like I said, I have thought more on this, considered all sources of information, but I don't want to turn this into an essay. Wondering what people might think on the matter.
