They didn't "team" up. They just got Activision as their publisher, junior.

It's not possible 'cause Activision has no control over Bungie. As in legally. Infinity Ward's contract deal with Activision is a lot different. The contract stated that Modern Warfare games were to be released under Infinity Ward, then somebody broke that then everyone got fired. The end.

if your with activision every year you release a game thus ruining your status cause your games have crappy standards

It really depends what was on that contract. If it was stated that they have to release a game year by year, then Bungie's screwed. If not, then good. I'm pretty sure Bungie will stick with the three year gap between their games.

Proof!

Bungie is in partnership with Activision.

Bungie has FULL control over their new game. They can make it how they want.

Acitivsion does have the right, as the publisher, to know all the contents of the game, so they know if it is worth publishing, etc. But I think Activision has stated in recent interviews that they have full faith in Bungie's ability to make a universe that the majority would love to get into.

Infinity Ward, Treyarch, etc... are OWNED by Activision. Activision has can tell them to restart production on a game if they wanted.

Bungie is not owned by Acitivsion, therefore, Bungie in some ways, is more in charge then Acitivsion.

Look at Ubisoft doing the year by year thing. Assassin's Creed is mind blowing...

I'm not being sarcastic at all, seriously, that's some amazing information right there. For some reason, "politics" in the video game industry really interest me.

Think of it this way.

Activision-Blizzard is Washington DC, with the President, Senate, Congress, etc etc... (I am not American, so I do not know it all). And then all the companies they own are the States.

But, Bungie is, lets say, The UK. US and UK are Allies, but neither has the right to tell each other what to do (well, at a major scale).

That is how it works... in very laments terms...
