That is the standard. So, what you stated isn't an opinion.

Because the established canon that deals with Reach was out 10 years before the game. All of a sudden most of it got changed without any real explanation. People are still legitimately angry at the fact that some of the books they've been reading for the past 10 years are all of a sudden not canon due to the game.

First off, 2010 - 10 =2000, more than a year and a half BEFORE the book was published. SO there, DERP!!

see what I did there, I acted like a frustrating retard just like you did. I am so -blam!- sick of people complaining about Bungie changing canon in a story they created in the form of media it was original portrayed in. Then everyone blames Bungie for breaking canon and sucks 343's -blam!-. But isn't it Microsoft's fault for not correcting the book in any of the "new" editions. Especially when everyone and their grandma knows that Games > Books. I don't know, can someone please fill me in??

I was not complaining nor did I act like some raging kid with my explanation. The person asked a question and I gave a reasonable answer. Nothing more. I can be for or against Halo: Reach's new canon and still have given that explanation. I chose not to add my opinion to the answer because that wouldn't do anything but start another useless debate.

Right now you're the one overreacting.
