Coming from a long time Halo player/ big time fan of the series, I think it's safe to say that the majority of the community doesn't necessarily care for the campaign to be remade, but restoring H2's multiplayer should definitely be considered. When looking back to the days of online Halo 2 multiplayer, I think of the battle rifle. I think of MLG. I think of playing zombies on foundation for hours with my buddies. I think of superbouncing, along with other glitches like BXR, RRX, BXB, getting out of the maps, etc.
So here's what I propose:
- Remake the Halo 2 multiplayer experience with Reaches updated graphics (just like Halo: CE Anniversary)
- Also, like 343 made clear about the way they did Halo:CEA, have the gameplay feel the exact SAME. Meaning, let all the old weapons feel the same and leave all the same glitches that were in the original H2. i.e.(Superbounces, BXR, BXB, RRX, getting out of the maps, etc.)
A refurbished version of H2 doesn't have to blow us all away with anything special or new. All it has to do is implement and maintain what made it so special in the first place. the things I listed above are those specific things that made H2 so special.
Also, don't change the way the maps look too much. Like the way lockout was changed to look all dark in H3 for example. Polishing everything up and making it all sharper is all that is needed:)
Lastly, bring back as many, if not all, of the same maps. Except Elongation... screw Elongation
