Subject: Question: Is it Halo we love, or is it Bungie?

Get big,win big that's the only way to play.

My thought is Activision has made some great game sback in their day,I think they made agood a choice as any for a partner. However I do think Sega would have been a better choice, seeing as how Vanquish became so popular.Or maybe even Epic Games, with their breakout franchise of Gears of War.Activision will do the best they can to make the players happy.Bungie will live on.Activision' sgood God parents for Halo.

Like Halo, love Bungie. Playing Halo 4 just won't be the same without knowing Bungie is behind the reins.

Hello! You may also know me as Ijnekono. How you have made your way here I do not know, but welcome. (:

Love Bungie. Like their creations.
Edit: That was short. Many of us love Bungie because of our love of Halo. Therefore, because we love Halo, we love Bungie. There's more too it though, in my short time as a forum-goer I've seen Bungie's amazing loyalty and involvement with the fans and am very impressed. I'm glad Bungie is on to a new game, it just means there will soon be even more reason for us all to love Bungie.

Expressing my strong liberal views without shame. Favorite quotes below:

"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe."
"One starts to live when he can live outside himself."

The problem over Reach lies mainly with the fans, Plasma, we haven't seen Halo Bible so we don't know what it contains or how exactly it links all the seemingly disconnected threads in Halo, we have only two choices, we can either take Bungie's word for it when they say everything fits or we can say that it's not true and they're pulling crap out of their ass. In any case, you'll always have fans who are displeased with current lore in Halo's universe and will try to find excuses or evidence to try and back up their claim. People have done this for Cryptum, with Reach, Legends, and the number of sources some fans claim conflicts with canon will only grow as time goes on.
Keeping a certain amount of ambiguity is good to stimulate discussion about the Universe, but there comes a point where the discussion becomes the same gratuitous thing every time, and Bungie needs to shed some light on the issue in order to maintain the idea that the Halo canon is more tightly put together than meets the eye.

Of course, I don't expect a flawless, seamless canon, but the Fall of Reach was a hard blow. Snippets of the Halo Bible need to be published for the hardcore fans to interpret and discuss. Bungie's secretive manner, while charming and suspenseful usually, becomes irritating and childish at other times.

For Carnage Apply Within

They think that they have pacified Ireland. They think that they have purchased half of us and intimidated the other half. They think that they have foreseen everything, think that they have provided against everything; but the fools, the fools, the fools! — they have left us our Fenian dead, and while Ireland holds these graves, Ireland unfree shall never be at peace
-Pádraig Anraí Mac Piarais

I like Myth too. I even prefer it to Halo. So idk.

I love Halo. I used to love Bungie until Reach was released, after that, well Bungie lost my love and respect.

Reach, I felt it was like gigantic middle finger to true Halo fans like me and grey, etc.

Let's hope that Bungie does well with their future IP. Frankly, 343i is only hope left to make true Halo.

343 has a terrible problem with continuity. According to them there are 5 variations of the exact same base mk V armor just because they cant keep their artists in check.

Someone clearly never played Reach or suffers from brain trauma.Reach shows dozens of MK V variants...

Back on topic,i prefer Halo.I became a Halo fan because Halo is amazing,i started playing Halo in 2003,didn't even knew much about Bungie till 2009 when i joined this site.

Halo. Once Halo 4 comes out, I'll probably spend more time on 343i forums.

Like Halo and love Bungie. Halo 4 should be interesting though because the lead designers are from the Metroid Prime Trilogy. I'm guessing there is going to be epic exploration with some great combat.

Well like I said, that's a problem with the fans themselves, not the story. Sure it'd be nice if questions were answered, but none of them are unsolvable riddles (not imo at least), find what you think works and go with that while you wait it out.

I love Marathon, Halo, Pathways, Minotaur, Oni, and Myth. Say those are the contents of the sandwich. Where's the bread? Yes, it is Bungie I love. Halo is just a large portion of that admiration.

" I will seek vengeance upon those who have betrayed my family, and uncover a conspiracy bigger that I could have imagined. I am Ezio Auditore di Firenze. I am an Assassin"

There is a very specific reason why (when I play Halo 3 or Halo Reach) I ALWAYS proudly march into battle with my Bungie 7 Columns symbol.

I never thought i'd see the day when the word Bungie wouldn't be on the game box for a Halo game. Maybe it was more denial then anything else.

I equate this change to something Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear UK) said about driving the Bugatti Veyron in a race against his fellow co-announcers (Richard Hammon and James May). He said that he absolutely loved the car. It was one of the best experiences of his life. He then retorted that he regreted doing it. When asked why he simply stated that he would never again be able to feel that same experience with any other car. He has had the best and must now (because of price) must stick with the mundane. Knowing that there was something better.

Bungie made Halo great. Now to have another company pick up where they left off is somewhat insulting and the very fact that the company itself (Bungie) isn't working on it is the very reason why i'm not picking up Halo 4,5,6, etc.
