Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

"Last time, you asked me, if it were my choice, would I do it? Having had considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed."

Ever since reading Cryptum, I've wondered about this iconic quote of Spark's. We assume he was referring to being questioned by the Didact. Yet, Spark would referee to humans as Reclaimers and Forerunners as his makers or something to that effect. Since he didn't say "The last time my makers asked me,", could this person Chief was being compared to another human?

Would it be possible that a human, maybe Chakas or Riser, was there to witness the activation of Halo and asked Spark before if he would do it? Note I have no other real proof to support this, but this has bugged me, thought I'd share.

Interesting theory you got there. Maybe that Chakas or Riser was there when Didact/Bornstellar fired the Halo?

Maybe that next Forerunner book would explain that, it might help to answer your questions? Let's see and wait, I think it comes out in middle of summer or late summer.

For all we know, those two being's in Origins could be Chakas and Riser and Bornsteller (Diadect). Probably not considering Riser would be much smaller, but who knows.

"Time was your ally human. But now it has abandoned you. The Forerunners....have returned. And this tomb... is now yours". - The Didact

Yes it's possible.

But at least Born/Didact survived the war,he was narrating the story.

I was playing CE again and planned on making a thread about that quote...

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

The only issue is we know for a fact that the didact activated the rings. Iris, terminals and origins confirm this.

I will be up for saying that chakas and riser might have been there with him but i highly doubt that.
