how can anyone say the Tyranids and the Flood would be a draw? what the devil? have you seen a Tyranid, they are huge, vicious things with claws the size of people that can slice tanks in half without much trouble, how in the name of Jesus would Flood be able to stop a swarm of Genestealers, they would just be ripped apart like cooked chicken! also they reproduce like Xenomorphs from the Alien movies except they are probably more deadly!

How coud the Flood lose to a demi-godlike race with starship weapons that could Death Star planets, obliterate stars, had small vehicular weapons/power armor that could devestate cities (Forerunner super cities that is) and blast continents into orbit?

Except they already did that. This is the same race of beings (Forerunners) that wouldn't dare get any where near a planet with so much as a single Flood spore on the surface. They instead would just destroy it without even evacuating any remaining population centers. They were automatically signed off as lost.

As I said, people constantly underestimate the Flood.
And you are constantly underestimating the Tyranids. When I said the ones we have seen are just the vanguard, I mean it. You can't kill a dozen galaxies by being a pushover (no exageration, the 'Nids really have killed a dozen galaxies).

Each and every 'Nid is a creature designed for only one purpose: the death and consummption of all organic life. Every day they mutate into something new, perfectly suited fo rthe job at hand.

Old One Eye for example, this is a Carnifax that has been killed dozens of times, each time regenrating with no damage. Scout Sergeant Telion of the Ultramarines fought it and shot it through the eye with a sniper rifle destroying it's brain. It came back.

The Nercrons are also at a similar level to the Forerunners. When the invaded the planet of Damnos, they drained the planet sized sea into a trans-dimensional sinkhole. The Herald of Dismay also state that he trapped his an attempted usuper in a prison a millisecond apart from the rest of the universe.

And then, there are the daemons, a impossible horde that feeds off of emotion. Each and every one of them is an army unto itself. Nurgle is also capable of creating disease to which none are immune. The only reason there are cures is because the Eldar Goddess of Healing is imprisoned there and Nurgle tests his diseases on her.

Nothing I have heard suggests to me the 'nids are any more powerful then the Flood. You say they are designed for only one purpose: the destruction and consumption of all life everywhere. Congragulations: you just described the Flood.

The concept of regeneration isn't too hard to believe the Flood could do. Not as quick as the Old One Eye necassarily, but the FSC is perfectly capable of regeneration. We already know they are in fact. Look at Sergeant Johnson. He had regenerative capabilities after his fight with the Flood.

Like I said: not so far, to me, who is only just recently getting into the WH40K universe, impressed compared to the Flood.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

We should know better, because we are better.

Tyranids are, as I said, extremely adaptable. They are also without number. It is not uncommon for defenders against 'nids to run out of ammo before they are killed. Another incident says that there where so many gargoyles in the sky, that it blocked guns meant to destroy the bio-ships.

Each Gaunt wields claws that can rend the limbs of space marines. Others posses the Fleshborer: a gun that fires a beetle into the target which promptly eats it from the inside out.

The Zoanthrope draws upon the Hive mind to unleash vast assaults of physic energy. They can also use the energy to form shields of massive strength. One zoanthropes was able to withstand a blast from a Titan.

Carnifexes are also capable of immense feats of regeneration as there is a report of one surviving Exterminatus and attempting to repair itself.

The capabilities and tatics of a fleet vary from place to place. One fleet evolved complete resistance to Tau pulse weapons ,which are the most powerful basic infantry weapon available. Another fleet concentrated all it's might into one, near unstoppable wave that reached all the way to Macragge.

That being said, the Tyranids are not my area of expertise. That rests with the Necrons, Tau, Guard and, to a certain extent, Space Marines.

I will say this about the Flood, I can only see it surviving the 41st milenium in the same sense as the Tau Empire does and probably the only reason they managed to topple the Forerunner; Plot Armour*

The Flood Become Genestealer Lite, easier to detect and blow the everloving !BlamityBlamBlam!(Take that you blasted filter!) out of from orbit.

Ordos Xenos gets a much needed Funding Boost, deathwatch expands;

Space Marines deliver the askicking rated in 100 MC(Master Chiefs) zone per Battle Brother, Rate goes up to 1000MC if said SM is in the Grey Knights or Deathwatch;

Imperial navy gets to shoot mores cities;

Imperial Guard gets more shotguns/and or canister rounds for tanks and arty;

Titans Kick major ass(Not much the flood could really do here anyhow);

Ordos Hereticus and Maleus go on as normal

The Dark Eldar get new toys;

Nurgle Gets new toys/Flood get a new master;

Eldar start pulling their hair out, Pheniox lords askick in the 9000MC range;

Tau Stay in their little corner of the galaxy wondering whats going on, also foreseeing much submunition fun.;

Kroot gain the ability to explode and unleash mini-kroot;

Chaos/Tyranids/Necrons continue on with busisness as usuall;

and the Covenant and the UNSC get wiped out from a minor Ork Wagghh.

Oh and the Squats com

* Note: The Tau are my favorite race amongst the world of 40k, to the extent that I have a Forge World Manta, but like the Flood, SW Rebelion, and the Enterprise of ST, Plot armour is the only reason they survive so far.
