John117 is Galactus
Galactus is God
I agree it is a good time indeed to become a fan. I've played and beaten every game on the very first day they came out with it and i have even read the books but up until Tuesday or so did i really care about the story line as much b/c.. it was just a story. All I ever noticed is that after Halo 3 was released I was like, "7 halos, the Ark, the Flood, what is this? Noah's Ark?" I decided to google "Master Chief" just b/c some douche on my facebook was posting about how "if i was master chief.." I guess you can say curiosity struck me when i found details that i didn't remember in the books or game.

You'll notice by reading the summary of the storyline or canon, if you will, that there are named hyperlinks (in blue ofc) and basically it's so you can get more info and not get confused. For example if you didn't know who the Forerunners were, you would just click it and usually it would be in blue like it is here. I kinda realized after a while that just about EVERY single other site i was sent to, to find out more information of course, just had more pieces to what seemed like an endless puzzle.
Basically what i'm saying is i became probably one of the biggest fans of halo over a whole night of not sleeping and clicking and reading and clicking and reading.. the canon was just so intense! I never realized that there was SO MUCH i didn't know. And everything in wiki seemed to highlight and/or summarize all of the important or "need to know" info in it so it didn't seem that it was too important to actually read every book, i assumed this b/c after what i read, it seemed like i didn't even have to play the game!! Anything i KNEW was important in the game for me to understand the canon seemed to already be summarized!
Plus, all of these unexplained errors are all found on wiki and/or halo nation. Some contradictions are even explain, like when i was reading about some of the spartans it says right in the wiki or halo nation description that they died but THEY ACTUALLY were either restationed or secretly moved to another mission or etc..
If you REALLY wanna be a hardcore fan just do what i did, i'm not saying spend hours without sleep doing what i did just leave a bookmark or something. I have the Opera browser in my comp so i like using their speed dial as bookmarks and now you can use as many speed dial windows as you want!
Here are a few sites i ran into that got me digging deeper.
On the 3rd page of this forum site, this guy says something about Ceo of bungie saying that Master Chief is in fact Marathon man, which OPENED but did not alter my thoughts about the storyline and future of the Halo series.

I found this one in that forum site that i posted right above this, and if you're familiar with marathon and remember it and have played the halo trilogy as well, i suggest you read the whole thing, every minute or so that i read got more and more interesting. Don't think of it as MC=MM just think of reincarnation or something.

If you don't already know who Adjutant Reflex is, i highly recommend that you read this. If you believe in any way like I do that Bungie likes to keep secrets or like to give clues without admitting it...this is one of their best examples.

I have reason to believe that this is in fact.. Marathon Man.

This is one of the newest hyperlinks i ran into while i was "researching" the canon of the bungie universe. If you read, it gives "theories" which we all recognize as clues by bungie, if you remember back before halo 2 and 3 and reach came out the wiki or halo nation would describe "theories" that would later come to be part of the canon. But also keep in mind that not EVERY "theory" was turned into canon and they may have been written by fans.

Keep in mind, in the United states you are guilty until proven innocent.
In the Bungie Universe it works that way with all theories as they are not fact until proven so. Just b/c a Bungie representative SAYS it's not true doesn't mean crap and they have proven this in the past.. just be patient.. we will all know the truth soon enough.
Unless of course you have cancer or AIDS or something.. then i highly recommend that you write a letter.
