Okay, I have just played through all of the Halo games in chronological order from Reach to 3 (including ODST), and I have a few questions. I haven't watched any of the animated movies or read any of the books, so all the information I have is what is given to you from the games.

1. What happened to Jun? Last I saw of him he was escorting what's-her-face, and I don't recall hearing about him again.

2. This isn't a question but a statement. Halo: Combat Evolved has the single best campaign story of any game ever.

3. In Halo 2, what's the deal with Master Chief "giving the covenant back their bomb"? Does any one else think that scene kind of cheapened the rest of the game a little bit? Don't get me wrong I love Halo 2, and I realize the Halo franchise isn't exactly realistic, but that was just too out there. He didn't have any way to control himself, but he still managed to get exactly where he was going, and then happened to land on the exact same ship as all of the main characters. Sorry to rant, but am I missing something?

4. Another Halo 2 question, if Chief didn't board the Forerunner ship at the end of the game and didn't keep Earth's defenses from destroying it, wouldn't that have saved a lot of trouble?

5. What's that thing on the back of the Admiral guy's head?

6.In Halo 3, right after that level where the Flood landed on Earth, you get a message from Cortana that says through the portal there is a way to stop the Flood without firing the remaining Halo rings... What is it? Did she just know that there was going to be a replacement ring at the Ark, and that High Charity was going to end up there? Or was there something else?

7.In Halo 3, at the end when you set off the replacement ring, that may have taken care of the local infestation of the Flood, but weren't there more that could attack earth?

8. I also don't get how the Chief and Cortana survived. If the portal closed when the ship was half way through, wouldn't the blast from the Halo ring have killed everyone on the end of the ship that didn't make it?

I know these are probably a bunch of stupid questions, but that's probably because I'm a stupid guy. If you can answer any of these, it would be greatly appreciated.

I see your point, but it just seemed easier to ask them all in one place.

1. We never see him die, true. I have not read it, but people do tell me it was confirmed he died protecting Halsey in the reprinted version of Halo: Fall of Reach novel.

3. Thruster pack perhaps. Throughout the books and games and anime together, there are quite a few times where Spartans must navigate a ''free-fall'' through space to get to a certain point.

4. I don't really get the question, hah.

5. I don't get what this one is asking either.

6. Wow... I really need to go back and go over the story again. These questions I used to be able to answer in seconds, almost without thought. Ah well. Being forgetful though...
She definitely knew about the Ark, yes. Having downloaded so much data from the original Halo, I assume she knew about the new ring. But more importantly? She was in the control of the Gravemind. We don't know what went on between them really- what information was exchanged. But it's possible while in his clutches she let slip the existence of the Ark and therefore made sure the gravemind was there. With the gravemind there on the Ark, firing the new Halo ring would destroy the Flood Hive Mind, thus rendering the Flood... well... without a brain.

I could be mistaken though. You'd get much better answers if you posted this thread in the 'Universe' Forum.

7. Kill the hive mind the body dies I've always assumed.

8. That's the big question now isn't it? We don't know. For a while there were time travel theories. Others had theories that the ship broke apart in slipspace and the back half fell out.

Honestly I don't know what theory emerged. Again, the Universe Forum Junkies would be able to answer this far better. I honestly would recommend posting there- because my answers aren't going to be nearly as reliable (or accurate) as the people there, who will get jumped on by 20 others if they give a wrong answer.

1. Many Spartans died in the Fall of Reach. Like the answer above he would of died like other Spartans.

2. I agree so much here. :)

3. The ship having no shields and then getting bombed by longswords in the right spot of the hull and then MC getting into it and planting the bomb and getting out to land on the Amber Clad is a massive longshot (But! Cortana says hes a lucky guy) Still Spartans have HUGE training in all theatres like space combat. He is trained for something like this but I think Bungie just wanted something to look awesome.

4. It's a Foreunner ship. It's armour is extraordinary resilient. It had enough power to fuel High Charity with a small portion of the entire output it had. It wouldn't of been able to be destroyed by the Mac stations and remember, the defences were ripped apart before the ship even got there.

5. Neural Interface. It shows who is Friend and Foe on the radar etc. It allows the Soldier to aim better etc. There are specialized Spartans implants and implants for Ship captains etc. Look it up more information.

6. I assume she knew about the Ark and another Halo being built there. If she knew this she knew that the index would work since its obvious that it would be a replacement for Installion 04 but I have never known this one.

7. The Elites went back through the portal and I'd assume local UNSC forces could of held down any small threats untill the Elites arrived. Even then, the Gravemind could of went straight through the portal knowing the Covenant would try to fire and the flood would starve and die so no flood would even be on Earth.

8. The moniter said it would be ready to fire in a few more days. It wasn't ready to fire and didn't have full power, so all it could do was damage things around it with immense energy rather then enough energy to just kill all cells in a large radius. The Forward Unto Dawn could of went through the portal for a milisecond and was cut in half when the Portal broke down on Earth and the other part was cut out of Slipspace and left to drift which isn't near Earth or the Ark. I'm not sure though.
Ahh, I love Halo :)

I love it too! Halo is a gift from the gods. And Bungie is their instrument.
