Sorry for asking what I'm sure is a long ago answered question, but I never got the memo. Does anyone know why the Grunts and Hunters weren't depicted in Halo 3 as siding siding with Elites (Humans for that matter) like in the end of Halo 2. I understand why the discrepensy would be made for logistical reasons; each covenent species compliments the other to form a more complex and varied enemy and gameplay would be awkward without them. However, as far as the story goes it doesn't make sense. I was wondering if this was ever explained.
