Subject: Bungie, you done goofed on storyline *Images for proof*

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

LOL Bungie, it's funny when you goof and nobody seems to notice.
I have discovered something that will most likely be placed onto Halopedia and will burn into the minds of people who read this thread.
So here it is.

During Noble Six's final stand on Lone Wolf, we see at one point he/she takes of his/her helmet.

As soon as the helmet is taken off, we see this. Since this is a location on the level, I decided to find it.
I found it. I used the landmarks in the image to find it: the rock, lightpole, and that barrel thing in the background. We can see that the rock and lightpole are in the next couple of shots (from the helmet's point of view.)
So this is the spot where Noble Six dies. But I found where Bungie goofed.
Notice that once I move the camera higher, you can see the mountain with the split in it. That same mountain is BEHIND the helmet during the last scene.
So, unless an Elite decided to grab Six's helmet and throw it a good hundred feet or so, Bungie goofed. Or retcon.

I will provide more screenshots and edit this OP. For some reason my other screenshots are not coming onto my recents

Nobody cares, you overanalyze something that doesn't matter in the slightest.

What is the point exactly? What does this have to do with Halo canon at all? I'm curious.

I'm going to be a productive member of the community and actually contribute to the threat at hand. Good observation btw, allow me to place my personal input.

It is likely Noble Six survived the initial conflict and wandered for awhile before bleeding out or being glassed, one or the other. It isn't stated either way when he dies exactly. Who knows, maybe he found a Forerunner structure to take refuge in, or some other freak accident, and left his helmet?

Noble Six is dead and if you can't accept that, then quite frankly you're stupid. Her helmet being somewhere else doesn't matter at all.

Why is it the obvious is so often missed? The helmet was likely knocked around when the ENTIRE AREA WAS GLASSED.

I actually didn't notice that, is it like that in the cutscene or in gameplay?

That's pretty much what all your posts are about...even your sig' on your profile. > "me, me, me, I, I, I" Self promotion is tiresome.

Nobody really gives a monkey's about this, it's not significant in the slightest. Am sure cut scenes etc differ from in game action anyway.

I'm sorry, if the area was glassed, the helmet would be COMPLETELY DESTROYED.......

Oh my god, the cannon is so totally brokened!

Well, it wasn't. What likely happened is that the helmet was blown a distance away and then partially buried in the dirt, because as seen quite clearly in the opening scene, the area was glassed.

How about that frigate? If the area had a glassing beam run over it, the frigate hulk would have been destroyed as well.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The helmet surviving is symbolism - nothing more, nothing less.

Well, DaeFaron, New Alexandria was briefly glassed, and there was rubble remaining. Noble Six died in the desert. It's very likely that it wasn't a high-priority target, and probably caught the fringe of whatever the Covenant were glassing; most likely Azod. You're quite asininely asking me to explain things that I can't possibly know simply because I'm pointing out the obvious:

-The area was glassed, even if to a minor degree. Burning terrain = glassing.
-The Helmet wasn't around the structures and survived, so it was likely blown a distance. It's a helmet, not a boulder; a strong enough gust will move it.

In real life, when you get clsoe to wildfires there feels like there is natural wind but it really the result of the fire. Its physics. With almost the entire world on fire being glassed, there had to have been enormous gusts. I'm pretty sure in one of the books maybe this affect is stated.

question everything...truth has no pedigree

This is sort of like how Certain Affinity saw fit to put 2 gas giants near Reach in the multiplayer map Condemned.

It's not a big deal.

  • 06.13.2011 9:50 AM PDT

Everything was glassed but the helmet. So all the objects were out of the way and u could see the mountain better. Also there's fog.
