1. Forgefight.

Same as Firefight, except there is one player who is the monitor and he drops stuff that will be used by his team.

2. Floodfight.

Same as Firefight, except take away the covenant and replace them with the Flood.

3. Covenant Version of Firefight.

Play as the Covenant and kill humans.

4. Spacefight.

Play as a sabre against Banshees, Spirits, Phantoms, Vampires and Seraph.

5. New Locations.

As stated in this thread. IE. Beach landing and Gravity Lift.

I doubt it. Flood options don't exist in Reach as it stands, and I doubt that they'd create a map that's locked in settings and can't be changed in custom because the map in question would contain enemies not present in other maps.

Same thoughts here. The enemies will almost definatly be Covenant.

There is a article that Frankie said that dev team of Anniversary was able to tweak base code in the Firefight mode and they said it's new to Firefight, never seen it before. It only assures two things: Flood Firefight or Firefight Forge.

What about reinforcements? like marines or something.

I think it will be forge tho.


Hmm, reinforcements? It may be possible but it's not really new to firefight because we already have that in campaign.

IMO, I think it'll be Flood Firefight. I wanted to play with my three friends with pistols only against Juggeranuts from Halo 2. Those freaks are tough as hell. Especially with legendary.
Honestly, i dont think 343 would put in the man hours to create the flood in the new engine, and then implement them into firefight if they only have a 2 player campaign instead of 4.

Instead of programming the Flood from scratch, have the Flood use the code of standard Reach enemies except with a new skin layered atop and a chance for them to go randomly berserk like the brutes.

While I have limited knowledge of programming, I don't think it would be too hard to cut some code and paste it to other pieces of code.

give them better jumping and melee. just a thought, they do have the models after all. but Most DLC is lazy money making attempt. not that its not enjoyable.

they have the modles use the combat algorithms and tweak some animations. but they probably wont.

Well... CE's remake was done with the Reach engine; remastering CE would also mean remastering The Flood (remember, with Reach's engine), and Frankie said that this new Firefight map will do something that Firefight hasn't done before. This could simply mean a map of ridiculous size, but i'm willing to go for the farfetched idea that the new Firefight map will have Flood.



I read elsewise, that the graphics used were not from the Halo Reach engine and rather the graphics style from some other military shooter game (don't remember the name)I accidentally found it on the 343 site though, so the flood actually aren't in Reach Graphics, the only thing that is in the multiplayer maps.

Signatures are for squares.

While Flood firefight might be cool, I have other hopes.

It basically plays out exactly as scene DIRECTLY before the opening of Halo CE. The Fall of Reach and The Flood touched upon this. Keyes had deployed LongSwords to protect the Pillar from Boarding parties and seraphs.

My personal bets for an appropriate place to do firefight from the old Halo: CE locales would be the Truth and Reconciliation grav lift area, the top of the control room structure, or the beach landing area of The Silent Cartographer.


Nice thoughts Slasher! I really love the idea of fighting at the gravity lift under the Truth and Reconciliation. Constant waves of Convenant dropping from the ship and coming down from the ship, being dropped off along the cliffs edge.

Another great area(s) would be the main entrance to the Control Room from Assault on the Control Room. Even, 343 Guilty Spark the entrance that leads down into the Containment Facility. Oh! Also the reactor room of the Pillar of Autumn. As the rounds progress too the ships reactors can blow causing a Wild Cat Destabilization!

I had an awesome idea, but doubt it would happen. Spawn is in a hangar on the PoA, which is on approach to halo, and you can pilot a Longsword or Pelican, Your vehicle can hold other players, who can jump out and board Phantoms, Banshees, etc. The covenant always spawn In their ships, which you can land in.
