I want to know what the community thinks about this.

I can understand why the veterans don't want them added, but it was interesting, maybe some different abilities would work?

  • 06.14.2011 5:42 AM PDT

Racking up the 20k Reach credits!

Added to what?
CE anniversary cant even have anything added, it uses the CE engine with a graphics layer added.
If Halo 4 then your on the wrong forum matey, but its a no here

  • 06.14.2011 6:53 AM PDT

No they are adding them to the game but only in mm, watch the E3 interview I'm a disapointed as all of you who wanted an original feel.

Good players work together...and no matter how good you are, you're not physic. - blade6321

It won't be in the CEA playlist, so there's no worry. But in short, no. I want my AA's in my Reach playlists.

'life is a stare down with death himself'

no. no no no no no no no no! keep gameplay the same, lets not jump on the aa ship

  • 06.14.2011 7:57 PM PDT

Hey guys. Just so you know i only named my profile chuck greene because i already did frank west like 3 times already for this site only

4 people thought no meant yes

  • 06.14.2011 8:23 PM PDT

Why would you even ask that?

NO

  • 06.14.2011 9:13 PM PDT

play to win and dont settle for less

armor abilities ruined my feel for halo reach. Reach is its own game. While halo 1,2,3 have the same feel. The AA abilities sadly i have seen them in the halo remake trailer. I saw the jetpack being used, sad but i hope we can atleast turn them off. Prefer they didnt add them in any way

  • 06.15.2011 12:06 AM PDT

the only way i'd be okay with armor abilities is if it was incorporated into like a new game+ kind of feature with a toggle to turn it on and off.

  • 06.15.2011 6:16 AM PDT

I think armor abilities are a detriment to the whole Halo universe. Leave that for other games like COD

I personally liked them. They allow for new maps and areas you can only get to in a certain way that you couldn't get to before.

Like, say, making a gap where you can only get over by using a jetpack. Or the ODST part of the Reach Campaign.

How about evading out of the way of a ghost? The elites and brutes and grunts always could, why couldn't we?

The AA's add a whole new layer to Halo. I hope they improve on any problems they might cause.

  • 06.15.2011 6:54 AM PDT

No. Classic gameplay (especially halo:CE) MUST remain unchanged. too many people have too many great memorie`s with this game and it would be a discrace (to all the veterens at least) to mess that up.

  • 06.19.2011 2:51 PM PDT

I would only want sprint because it speeds up the action and still keeps the game basic

  • 06.19.2011 2:53 PM PDT

Hell yeah I want armor abilities.
And I want to be able
to transfer my custom spartan too.
If you want to step back into The Chief's boots that's fine. Even though the story and the Chief are pretty 1 dimensional. But i never played(bought should be the operative word here) Halo and every sequel after that for the story. The game play is sweet, and the abilities makes it better than any other 1st person shooter. So if you're going to go through the trouble to remake everything, add the
AA! thats the least you guys could do since we spend so much time on upgrading our armor that isn't anything but cosmetic.
Just so i can get the damn Haunted Helmet!
So many people have put Reach away for Black Ops and honestly i still play Reach 99.9% of the time. If i wanted to play something without the sweet armor and the abilities i might agree with them. But please at least make it an option! IF YOU DON'T WANT ARMOR ABILITIES, THEN CHOOSE A DIFFERENT GAME TYPE! C'MON YOU NAY-SLAYERS!!!!!!

  • 07.19.2011 10:55 AM PDT

are you -blam!- retarded, noone wants armour abilities well at least not us halo veterans. its supposed to be halo ce with 360 graphics if you want your -blam!- armour abilities then go play reach you -blam!- noobs.

ps. if 343 -blam!- over this game like bungie did reach after 2 months of its release then i will never buy a halo game again. like who wants other users -blam!- forged maps in matchmaking, not me.

Adding Armor Abilities would cause a chain reaction of changes that would be forced upon Halo: CE. In order for 343 Industries to balance the game play, campaign levels would have to be altered and some multi-player maps would also need to be changed for the same reason.

  • 08.15.2011 4:19 AM PDT

In other words. If Armor Abilities are added, the remake would be vastly different. Deteriorating the fact that Halo 1 was a classic and very fun game.

PS
Hopefully this is about the Halo CE Remake.

No.

FYI, In the halo 4 trailer that was not a jet pack but more of a boost or thruster, im not sure yet, but im pretty sure its not a jet pack. And I agree I want the original feel in everything on halo CE, even in MP

I might not buy the game because of armor abilities.

AA's can go fornicate themselves. They ruin halo. Period. Whoever came up with them needs to be physically harmed.
