NO MERCY. That's exactly what I learned after watching that movie: never, under any circumstances show mercy to no man (or woman). I saught out to see Jet Li's Hero because I knew it would be a very good action movie. Little did I know that it would be the story, not the action (though it was excellent in it's own right), that kept me seated. My current favorite movie is "A Beautiful Mind", and while it's still my favorite movie, "Hero" is now my favorite story in a movie. It's just great. And how many movie's can you go to these day's that have a superb story with only 6 charachter's to follow? None (other than the Hero). In this movie you've only got those six to follow being: Nameless, Broken Sword, Flying Snow, Sky, Moon and the king. That's it, no 23 charachter's to keep up with and asking yourself "Okay, who is Sky again?" Anyway's go see the movie, and if you don't walk away with a feeling of satisfaction then your not a movie-goer anyway.

i enjoyed the film as well. i was even more impressed with the fact that Tarantino didn't plaster his name all over the credits for what he did. which was nothing, more or less.
