In the weekly update, i found this line very interesting:
the fact remains that when Microsoft publishes Halo 2 for PC – it will have released its new, bigger, better operating system and our game will take full advantage of that fact, and Microsoft will take full advantage of our game.

It is kinda funny when you see, "..and Microsoft will take full advantage of our game." I wish i had it on a podcast to hear the tone of voice its in.

It seems to me that the Halo2 property is completely Microsoft's, and they came up with the whole scheme to make it Vista exclusive, and i believe bungie is in the middle of it.

Along with clouding his true feelings by hyping Vista throughout the weekly update, i think this line reveals the author's true remorse for XP and Mac users.

The grand scheme i'm thinking of goes like this:
Heavenly Gameplay > Bungie > Microsoft Game Studios > Microsoft Marketing > Lucifer

Dont have any nostalgic illusions about Bungie, they are no longer the 'jaded crowd' they once were. Now they are owned, pure and simple, by Microsoft. The sheer size and flux of a large dev team like Bunige's is testament to the impersonal nature of their releationship with the community, and their own relationship with Microsoft. With Microsoft holding the reigns, there is no chance of total creative freedom, and as a result, we will not see major inovation from Bungie or Halo 3.
Its all about money, money, money. Dont delude yourself that they care, because at the end of the day, they go home from work and forget all about you.
Such is the reality of the working world.
