T4R.

Sorry if this has been posted before or if this is the wrong place, but is activating the "Bungie" nameplate under you "Game Settings->Nameplates" what gives you the blue flames in the game? So, if I click the "star" nameplate, does that deactivate the blue flames then?

On my phone, I clicked Blue Flames and it has a check next to it, but you can't uncheck. Just curious. Thanks for any advice.

I think it will be permanent in the armory, so you can turn it on or off from there.

I think.

Everytime someone sacks my groceries, I think of Loaf.

Same way you turn any armor effect on.

"Unlocking Flames" actually unlocks two things - the "Bungie Nameplate" and the "Eternal" armor effect. Eternal is the actual blue flames, you'll find it the next time you start up Halo: Reach in the Armory. The Bungie Nameplate will also be available to you, but you don't have to use the Bungie Nameplate to use the Eternal armor effect.

Question?

Do we get to keep the nameplate and the Eternal armor affect, permanently?

But actually WHAT do you have to do to get the eternal armor effect? please RSVP

RIP Halo 2

So everyone that plays Reach will have these? It's cool and all, but it kind of takes away the whole aspect of that being special. I understand it's all about everyone just being a part of the community, but I think it'd be best if it was just for the limited time.

And with that I have another question to follow up on Achronos. What about the Bungie chest in Halo 3? Is that also going to be unlockable?

I think Stars, Eternal, The Bungie nameplate, and a kickass app are more than enough.

Yeah I know, but it would be cool if they did. For those that don't own Reach, or just like Halo 3 more than Reach.

Just so everyone can still get something out of it. IDK, more of just my opinion.

Although, I'm totally happy with what we got, and really wasn't expecting it.

  • 06.14.2011 2:31 AM PDT

If you look at the app, it says the app will unlock the blue flames, star nameplate that you can share with 7 friends, the bungie name plate, and more coming soon. What does the "more coming soon" mean?

  • 06.14.2011 5:34 AM PDT

I don't know my password so how would the share with seven friends work?

Urky says the blue flames are for keeps, through lack of confirmation, Bungie nameplate appears to be temporary.

The Haunted Helmet.

You must inherit it! (though one could surmise that haunted helmets will appear for those with bungie nameplates unlocked, so I guess we might get a taste of skullness?)

Well one of my friends that work there said that the Bungie Nameplate is linked to the Eternal armor effect.

So if we keep the blue flames, we'll be keeping the nameplate too! :D

I'm still rocking the old Ipod, which can only be updated to 3.1.3 which means no Bungie app because that requires 4.0. Any help that does not involve buying a new ipod?
